Guest johnnyp Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Hi all I recently installed corvus5 on my vega but have trying to view files on my USB hdd. I have got it in the right mode, however it does not do anything. Any suggestions?? Also anyone recommend a good honeycomb skin?
Guest martinmrocks Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 The best advice i can give is download esFile explorer. Then when your in the app tap the star on the top left then click the option that says USB disk (should be there somewhere). Good luck
Guest MikeH39 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 You need a self-powered USB hard for this to work. Not a 2.5 inch drive You need a 3.5 inch harddrive with its own power brick.

Guest IanTurner Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 depends on the portable drive. Certainly won't work without the Vega being plugged into the mains. Think my Samsung S1 1.8" drive works. Follow the suggestion for esexplorer though in filemanager you have to go up a directory level from the sdcard then down into usb and into system usb. In vegacomb theres the mnt button at the top for this but not sure about others roms.

I have a 500GB Freecom Toughdrive (2.5" drive) which works powered from the USB port with the Vega running on internal battery. The photo of the drive I took a while ago when I was using VegaComb1.7. I'm now on Vegacomb3.2-build9n-update3. I've also posted screenshots of the Drive Mount screen, from the stock file manager and of PowerAMP playing a file from the drive. Guest geezer466 Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 Do External drives have to be formatted to fat 32 to be seen in vegacomb? Have been trying all day with a WD My Passport. Some times it sees it sometimes not but it never displays the file names correctly.
