Guest ltpitt Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Oh please put your kernel on a different filesharing system => Sent from my Liquid MT using Tapatalk
Guest Genrix Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 (edited) It seems I was able to remove fps limit! I and Davidevinavil test it. But in the CM at Davidevinavil it does not work. Test@1200mhz Neocore - 73fps. Antatu Benchmark in 1st 3d test - 72fps. Quadrant, test in space and 2 planets - 63-73fps. Fps2D - avg=90fps. All test run at TechnoLover kernel 5% w/o CM. Rom stock .13. And maybe now we don`t need "lagfree" .....all smooth with ondemad. And unlock screen too. :) Wait to public solution. :D Edited January 24, 2012 by Genrix
Guest TechnoLover Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Now I'm interested what you have done ;)

Guest Genrix Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 (edited) Now I'm interested what you have done You don`t believe.... :D I'm not sure what removes the limitation, so do as I did. Tested at TechnoLover kernel 5% w/o CM, rom stock .13 and it work for me. Let`s test now. Open in editor your build.prop and add this: debug.sf.hw=1 debug.gr.swapinterval=0 windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150 pm.sleep_mode=1 ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0 debug.perfomance.tuning=1 video.accelerate.hw=1 Need reboot. Waiting for your feedback! Edited January 24, 2012 by Genrix
Guest andryandrew Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 For me the option that changed a lot was debug.gr.swapinterval=0. But with this option active my phone doesn't behave very well with some games (e.g. fruit ninja running at twice the normal speed) and UI lags.
Guest Genrix Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 (edited) I don`t have any lags Acer UI Launcher. Maybe you add not all line from my post? Yes, screen have some gap\break\rapture with animation, but on desktop PC have normal this effect with vsync-off. I think its not critical. So, try to disable animation. I set always disable this. I try to play friut ninja and i don`t see any abnormal. But i don`t like this game. Try to read my build.prop...Android_Genrix_build.prop.zip Edited January 24, 2012 by Genrix
Guest andryandrew Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 With all lines inserted (debug.sf.hw=1 was already there in my t&l ROM) the UI is not lagging anymore (I too have animation always disabled). But that funny strange behaviour of Fruit Ninja remains :D (not really the end of the world, i think)
Guest Svarion Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 tried with miui and cm kernel...nothing changes:(
Guest VJftw Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Waiting for your feedback! works for me. Though, don't actually notice any difference in real usage as of yet. Quadrant scores less 1674, as opposed to 2004. I think it's the Database reads and writes kills it there. When running Quadrant, you can see the FPS jump up to 70 and stay a solid 90ish some of the tests. thanks!
Guest tim305 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Can some1 explain me how the governors "smoothass, minmax, smartassV2 & lagfree" work? Which should I choose? Or should I stay at "on demand".

The low score is probably Quadrant dismissing the high scores for the gpu tests?. maybe.
Guest evil.odmin Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 You don`t believe.... :D Waiting for your feedback! not work for me on CM 7.20
Guest Smeelious Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Can some1 explain me how the governors "smoothass, minmax, smartassV2 & lagfree" work? Which should I choose? Or should I stay at "on demand". Which to choose is a personal preference, experiment and find out which works best for you. Generally: Lagfree and Ondemand are similar, with lagfree being supposedly better on battery since it scales the CPU instead of just going to the max clock instantly. Smartass, is a little more conservative, and tends to use the mid range frequencies more often, and the max freq. very little. Smoothass is similar to smartass, but more agressive on the choice of freq. minmax uses only the min freq, and the max freq. Different people have different luck on performance based on how they use their phone, so you really need to test them out.

I tried and the trick works but i come back to the old build.prop because the phone is strange(big lag in app menu and animations really strange)...maybe is because i use all the animations...i use 5% kernel with stock rom...
Guest hfbvm Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Whats the difference between 1% and 5%?
Guest Z-buffer Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Whats the difference between 1% and 5%? In first variant you have 1 % battery step (indicator of the battery decreases by 1 %), in second variant battery step equals 5%.
Guest scotth324 Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Whats the difference between 1% and 5%? Goes in 1% battery steps.
Guest chemicalbuz Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) bug: technolover kernel 1.1 doesn't work on cm .22, both 1% and 5%, if i go on cyanogen settings i coudn't change clocks, and with setcpu i can do that but it doesn't work anyway EDIT: same issue with .21, anyone else has same issue? Guest TechnoLover Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 normally it should be able to ;)
Guest vikings123 Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 normally it should be able to ;) I tried and the most recent version does not work. I flashed the TechnoLover-Kernel-20111103-signed.zip. Thanks!
Guest sumdumguy Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Can anyone upload the experimental kernel with 'genix's settings, so us 'the linuxless clueless' can have a play ?
