How exactly do you install this?

With CWM?

Do I install it right after I've flashed a new ROM or do I let the new ROM set up first?

Reason I ask is that I flashed it over a ROM and my phone would not boot and recovery didn't work, Had to reboot the phone using the USB loader method.

Hey ggg7277,

thanks for your work supporting GingerOunay but please open your own thread with modifications of my kernel, because it's a bit confusing (:

@ all

Sorry for being not here for a while but my priority list starts with school and my life but don't worry, an updated kernel will be released in the next hours with supporting again all roms (partly GingerOunay 3.x and no CM7 yet) ;)

--> Update see #1 post

Dude like seriously I can't get this working for s***!

My phone just locks up at the second splash screen :(

Flashing it over the stock 2.3.6 that's been rooted..

Tried it on a few other roms and still the same result, Crash on second splash screen.

5% works for me now, no longer sticking on kernel splash screen. :)

If it possible, make high-voltage kernel modded by you. Low or medium-voltage kernels don't work on my device. :'(

default voltage is high voltage ;) With MT Voltage Control application you set the voltages to your own needs ;)

@yots

Where does your phone stuck at boot?

Which rom/firmware do you use?

Posted

Technolover,

It stuck on Acer Logo (this), and that's all.

I'm using official 4.000.13 firmware with root, no mods (Gingerounay doesn't work too).

Maybe, I should make a video?

normally you shouldn't stuck at boot with 4.000.13 as I tested it yesterday... ah I know (: Do you have BusyBox installed? Otherwise install it from market ;)

First of all: Thanks a lot for continuing developing this!

I flashed the new 5% version and now get an error when trying to set voltages on boot. Also got it to get stuck at boot, had to nandroid and reflash.

which error? does it work now?

"ERROR: Voltages haven't been saved for boot!"

Doesn't work now, worked with the earlier 1% Kernel. Just realized i'm still on 4.000.07 though, so I guess I'm a bit on my own ;)
