Hi!

First of all, very big thanks for the developers who gave new life to our Omnias!

I really like the balck and white default theme and icons of Android (it goes well with many different wallpapers), but always wanted a black status bar.

So, here is my first theme: black status bar, inverse status icons, my favorite battery icon, transparent status background, and other minor tweaks.

How to install:

- Boot up your favorite linux distro

- Mount SD Card or My Storage while Omnia is in Windows mobile

- Overwrite two files in /system/framework/ (you need to be su to do this). Its always a good idea to do a backup.

- Boot Android.

Other methods that should work (not tested myself)

- use a "frb3update.tar.gz"

- overwrite files by root explorer in Android, reboot

I'm really not good with linux or Android, so if you have any problems with this theme I probably cant help (but I will try).

It doesn't work for me. I've copied both files to /system/framework with "Root Explorer" but now Android doesn't start. It freezes in android animated logo, so I replaced again the two files with the "originals" so as to return to normality.

Bye.

I'm sorry to hear that. Never happened to me, however I always use ubuntu to do the copying (not that it should matter).

I'm using this theme with B3 and B3 update 1 for a week now, it really does not contain anything that should freeze a phone...

It's possible. So next time I'll try under Ubuntu.

Bye.

you do not have to shout :)

(and this is not a linux forum, but at least this kind of questions I can answer)

so, as I mentioned you have to be su. I'm really a windows guy so to do that i usually run a terminal and enter "sudo nautilus" or just hit "alt+F2" in ubuntu and enter "gksu nautilus".

In the new explorer (aka nautilus) window, browse to the /system/framework/ folder and paste the copied files.

Thanks for this amazing work!

unsure.gifp.s. How did you create the theme? is it done using MetaMorph?

I played a little bit around and changed back most of the icons to black.

Its done with apk manager.

I'm really not sure if I like black or white icons better, or maybe I will create some without the background when I'll have the time :)
