I wish they could. although:

For the real power savings to kick in, one would have to power down parts of the hardware (at least the CPU)

doesn't sound applicable on our dear Blade :mellow: but I wouldn't know anyway

sounds good. as long as our kernel has the 'deep_idle' functionality I'm sure it could be implemented.
