Funnily enough... it's not finished yet. :P

It still needs a lot of work, but the basic functionality is there." quote from the Youtube posting.

Compiling kernel and compiling android from AOSP are two completely different things. If you are interested in building ICS from AOSP you can check this thread and see what kind of issues people have trying do that.

i just want someone to put that strings.mods to fix the toutchscreen...

in the kernel,in the github where his source code is...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1328515

to using a blade kernel with the zip i found so just all of us get a taste of ics

can you do it?

I think that fix is for ICS Android SDK ports which had prebuilt libinput.so. These ports are based on HTC Hero ICS which is built from AOSP source code. No harm in trying it though, but I doubt it works.

There are also couple of other things someone might want to try.

There is already something in Tom G's github so you might want to try that first. There is also this that possibly(?) worked for ZTE Skate.

If anyone wants to taste the Ice Cream Sandwich you can install Android SDK into your computer and run ICS in emulator. It works great.

I'm still trying (and failing :P) to build it from the AOSP. I'd much rather have it built for blade than ported from another device.

I'm even failing to build the AOSP without any adjustments :P After two hours of compiling it throws an error about javadoc (which is installed and working).
