I think that fix is for ICS Android SDK ports which had prebuilt libinput.so. These ports are based on HTC Hero ICS which is built from AOSP source code. No harm in trying it though, but I doubt it works. There are also couple of other things someone might want to try. There is already something in Tom G's github so you might want to try that first. There is also this that possibly(?) worked for ZTE Skate. If anyone wants to taste the Ice Cream Sandwich you can install Android SDK into your computer and run ICS in emulator. It works great. I'm still trying (and failing :P) to build it from the AOSP. I'd much rather have it built for blade than ported from another device.
