Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) Have patched java's RIL.java in frameworks/base/telephony/java/com/android/internal/telephony with those specifed on the cm-nightlies.appspot.com, added the key 'ro.telephony.ril.v3=1' into build.prop. Rebooted, no joy, rild crashes like hell, am hesitant to push out that to github as my belief is cm7's rild stuff is very much hated by ICS. Suggestions? :) Edit: IF you wish, unzip the attached and put that into the directory above, amend build.prop with said key, and do a clean build ... let us know how it goes, if that works for you :) then we can take it from there :) Results (fully compiled from the latest github sources + the above instructions): ics4blade alpha3 download: http://www.mediafire...dqshhxd7up571z8 gapps: http://download.cloc...-20111125-2.zip requires gen2 and stock sized system partition Still no reception - although you might want to have a look at log output etc. I didn't notice any crashes. Edit: The libc that is shown in the line after ActivityManager, is the point of the crash, by the way, this was when I was in APN settings. The part of the stack trace up to the point of crash rests solely with libril-qc-1.so, for some reason or another which calls something in libdss and bombs! Edited November 28, 2011 by t0mm13b
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) Anyone try the patched RIL.java, last I checked there was 19 downloads of the said file - did it help? or did Telephony's fail? :) I compiled it into alpha3, you can try that if you want. not sure what to look for, but there was no reception and I didn't notice any crashes. Edit: I don't know what to say about that log but SYSTEM_TOMBSTONE sounds like something really evil is going on. Edited November 28, 2011 by hedgepigdaniel
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Hold on - we need to modify boot.img besides including this patch https://github.com/t0mm13b/ics4blade/commit/14bc940c2ae08e214a82feed6bfeaa3cdae2884e to get SD mounted right?
Guest KonstaT Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Sdcard working. Media scanner works too. Add these to your init.rc: # create mountpoints mkdir /mnt 0775 root system mkdir /mnt/sdcard 0000 system system

# setup the global environment export PATH /sbin:/vendor/bin:/system/sbin:/system/bin:/system/xbin export LD_LIBRARY_PATH /vendor/lib:/system/lib export ANDROID_BOOTLOGO 1 export ANDROID_ROOT /system export ANDROID_ASSETS /system/app export ANDROID_DATA /data export EXTERNAL_STORAGE /mnt/sdcard export ASEC_MOUNTPOINT /mnt/asec export LOOP_MOUNTPOINT /mnt/obb # Backward compatibility symlink /system/etc /etc symlink /sys/kernel/debug /d symlink /mnt/sdcard /sdcard
Attached boot.img in flashable zip with this fixed. Should be also included after this.Blade-ICS-SDfix.zip

Do you manage to get a ril socket open though with the patches?? they seem to just patch a load of declarations not much actual code changed. I figured we are still at try {for (;;) { LocalSocket s = null; LocalSocketAddress l; try { s = new LocalSocket(); l = new LocalSocketAddress(SOCKET_NAME_RIL, LocalSocketAddress.Namespace.RESERVED); s.connect(l); } catch (IOException ex){ try { if (s != null) { s.close(); } } catch (IOException ex2) { //ignore failure to close after failure to connect } // don't print an error message after the the first time // or after the 8th time if (retryCount == 8) { Log.e (LOG_TAG, "Couldn't find '" + SOCKET_NAME_RIL + "' socket after " + retryCount + " times, continuing to retry silently"); } else if (retryCount > 0 && retryCount < 8) { Log.i (LOG_TAG, "Couldn't find '" + SOCKET_NAME_RIL + "' socket; retrying after timeout"); } try { Thread.sleep(SOCKET_OPEN_RETRY_MILLIS); } catch (InterruptedException er) { } retryCount++; continue; } s.connect(l); doesnt seem to be working

I wonder why I wasnt getting a rild socket at all then. I compared the init.rc to a GB one and to the Hero ICS one and the rild stuff seems ok. Comparing to MHMP there was one difference in the groups, MHMP: service ril-daemon /system/bin/rild socket rild stream 660 root radio socket rild-debug stream 660 radio system user root group radio cache inet misc audio sdcard_rw qcom_oncrpc ICS service ril-daemon /system/bin/rild class main socket rild stream 660 root radio socket rild-debug stream 660 radio system user root group radio cache inet misc audio sdcard_rw log dont know if that 'qcom_oncrpc' is important another think I noticed was there is a init.qcom.rc in MHMP but none in ICS build. maybe that stuff is important, it has a lot og bluetooth and wifi stuff in there. I dont really know how the rc files work though. are they compiled? or are we supposed to amend for our phone?

Might be worth a shot in adding qcom_oncrpc to the init.rc :)

Guest Er_alonso Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Hi, I'm new and i have a Blade with this OS. I have some questions and bugs that you could fix, I hope. The Screen, when I lock the power button didn't do anything and the screen power on 1 minute later more or less. Also the radio didn't work. I hope you fix it and I am your betatester for whatever you want.
Guest check bai Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 thinks . these rom still have many problem. radio can't work .and the benchmark shows that GPU do not work.
