Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Just flashed, however, I have been on the "Google" padlock screen for 10 mins. Is this normal? It never happened on previous MoDaCo roms I have ran. Edit Just checked, my MD5 doesn't match the download file name! Doh! Restoring Backup! And that's why you back up. :D P
Guest StuMcBill Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 And that's why you back up. :D P I just re-checked it, it was actually correct, any ideas on the boot issues?
Guest sgauntlett Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Google Navigation seems to have gone awol on mine. Is it just me?
Guest Homer314 Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Hi Paul, we need a full wipe before install the #9 coming from #8 ? Thanks
Guest BushMasterSix Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Hello, I just flashed it over IR 8 stable without wipe of course. I was able to reproduce the issue. Nandroid saved me!
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Hello, I just flashed it over IR 8 stable without wipe of course. I was able to reproduce the issue. Nandroid saved me! Investigating... hold fire while I check the download. No wipe should be necessary. P
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 A heads up that if you choose a custom kernel, you must also choose the 4.0.3 compatability pack or you will get 'stuck on the Google logo'. P
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 OK, I just baked and it booted OK! Pretty much default options (no kernel options selected)... for those stuck on the G logo, did you select a custom kernel? P
Guest geek78 Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 OK, I just baked and it booted OK! Pretty much default options (no kernel options selected)... for those stuck on the G logo, did you select a custom kernel? P So can we choose "Compatibility 4.03" and one of custom kernel ? Thanks
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 So can we choose "Compatibility 4.03" and one of custom kernel ? Thanks I heartily recommend using the stock kernel (don't check any boxes in the 'kernel' section). P
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Confirmed issue with kitchen, please hold fire on downloads for a few minutes. P
Guest EddyOS Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 This still a 4.0.2 build or is it something better? ;)
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 This still a 4.0.2 build or is it something better? ;) A very recent 4.0.2 build. 4.0.3 is coming, but Samsung is still testing internally (yeah, I dunno why either!) P
Guest EddyOS Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 RUBBISH!! :P Gonna give it a blast once you've got the kitchen sorted - I take it stock kernel means not to use the MCKr7 kernel?
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Fixes are up, i'm testing a couple of bakes myself now. Will update here asap. P

Cheers Stewart Edit Keep getting Google + Has stopped errors. There doesn't seem to be a market update? Stewart If you go into the G+ app in Market you should see an update. GPS looks OK here (I have just got a fix in maps), could you elaborate? P
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 OK everyone, the issues with the kitchen should be resolved now! I'll be adding an updated MoDaCo Custom Kernel soon. P
Guest GalaxyNexus Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 OK everyone, the issues with the kitchen should be resolved now! I'll be adding an updated MoDaCo Custom Kernel soon. P mhh i cant boot in CWM :( (and it is no showing in Download mode)
Guest Paul Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Here's a general ICS fix... if you flash between ROMs and you find your home button doesn't work any more... do the following via ADB... adb shell am start -a MAIN -n com.google.android.setupwizard/com.google.android.setupwizard.SetupWizardTestActivity ...complete the wizard and you'll be sorted. :) P
Guest StuMcBill Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 If you go into the G+ app in Market you should see an update. GPS looks OK here (I have just got a fix in maps), could you elaborate? P I couldn't get a Fix in Maps, and when I ran GPS Status app, and it says GPS is disabled, even when its not. The GPS Status app worked in IR-8. I do see an update in the Market now, it wasn't there before! Honestly Guv! :D If I am working ok (apart from GPS), should I re-bake now you have fixed the issues? Cheers Stewart
Guest GalaxyNexus Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 mhh i cant boot in CWM :( (and it is no showing in Download mode) sorry.. i just had been to stupid to boot in CWM ;) (flashed a galaxy S before (Volume Down)..)
