Guest Brembo109 Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 That was my first assumption. I also saw this in the XDA thread around Franco's kernel: Had this too in cm9, but o think its fixed now
Guest beejizzle Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Today when I did a factory reset with Recovery 3e menu, the rom still is Modaco Custom but applications are missing, one of them is Avast. Was there, supposed to be in /system/, before reset. How come it got deleted and not installed at all when I did a reset? Isnt that the whole point of putting it and saving it on read only that it should be there if someone reset your stolen phone?
Guest lupipe Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 That was my first assumption. I also saw this in the XDA thread around Franco's kernel: uhhhh ..now i'm fine, it is cause of kernel, and i can confirm that, with default kernel there is no such a problem in this rom..
Guest Babak Nouri Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 i m premuim use n it doesnt let me bake ..
Guest jmagee Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 i m premuim use n it doesnt let me bake .. From my experience when you can't bake it says "you must be a premium member to use this service" or similar at the top of the kitchen. It must be an issue with your browser or something. You should just select your options and select bake. Could pop-ups be blocked or something?
Guest Killbox Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Is there any way to remove the search button on the bottom?
Guest jmagee Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Is there any way to remove the search button on the bottom? Bake a different systemUI option. If you are using the pre-bakes then no :-)
Guest Killbox Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 So that means that I have to wipe and buy a premium membership? :/
Guest jmagee Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 (edited) So that means that I have to wipe and buy a premium membership? :/ Buy premium yes, wipe not as long as you are coming from IR11 still. Still $9 for premium is a steal :-) Edited March 5, 2012 by jmagee
Guest Killbox Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Buy premium yes, wipe not as long as you are coming from IR11 still. Still $9 for premium is a steal :-) You mean 10 £ ? So I cook a new rom and flash it without wipe? What box do I un-tick to get rid of the search button?
Guest jmagee Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 You mean 10 £ ? So I cook a new rom and flash it without wipe? What box do I un-tick to get rid of the search button? There was an offer where you sign up to something else for $9 and get a free modaco ad free account (i'm sure it's a sticky in the top section of all threads). May have stopped now? Under SystemUI/ buttons you unselect the option which includes the search button and select another one instead.
Guest Gagg3 Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 @P All credit to you and your effort, but... its been a while since an update. Are we going to see an update anytime soon?
Guest Julprod Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Since MWC is over Paul should have more time to polish up his ROM. Let him time to make it as stable as he can.
Guest miraclestone Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 I would love to see user interface options available to modify the launch screen..much like the ones available in AOKP rom.
Guest Compuman74 Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Not yet and not yet. :) P I'd like to know if NFC is working with the lockscreen on. With alternative lockscreen (widget locker) NFC works with screen locked. With official lockscreen NFC not works with screen locked.
Guest Scottland Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Has anybody been able to get GPS on the latest franco versions?
Guest StuMcBill Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Paul, Is there anyway you can add an option (maybe in the Power Menu) to Hide the Soft Keys and stretch the screen, so it uses the full screen? I know that GummyNex & AOKP has this option. Cheers Stewart
Guest Lupus77 Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Has anybody been able to get GPS on the latest franco versions? yup, works fine with newest franco rom
Guest alanhsu Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Paul, Is there anyway you can add an option (maybe in the Power Menu) to Hide the Soft Keys and stretch the screen, so it uses the full screen? I know that GummyNex & AOKP has this option. Cheers Stewart I agree, a navbar toggle in power menu would be great.
Guest Scottland Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 yup, works fine with newest franco rom Nighlties or M1?
Guest Zarch1972 Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 I agree, a navbar toggle in power menu would be great. Yes, fired up World of Goo last night and would be nice to ditch the softbuttons for a while.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Glad to see GPS is now working on Franco! Time to refresh this and get it out of Beta methinks... P
