After using RLS2 for a while, i went back to RLS1 it seems to have a beter battery life.

I dont know why mabye its just a immagination tho :P

Thanks. MIght be some app or something... I had to leave CM7 anyway, it is horribly unstable - I get one day at most before the thing goes into an endless reboot cycle. It started somewhere around nightly 140 and has not improved since... So much for CM7 - back to F'N'C or Moldovan.

Replying to myself - it was an app indeed. Had the same problem on Moldovan so started to check the running apps ...

And the prime suspect was - Announcify! It is supposed to read caller's name out loud and it somehow bogged the system down too much... Enabling App2SD was the main reason it started to cause problems.

So looks like I am back on Fish'N'Chips again - minus Announcify! It was sort of a gimmick anyway...

I'm pretty sure you can't access bbciplayer outside the UK. I'll look into it though...

Hi raverrr, two stupid/noob questions:

1 - why did you use CAE's 2.3.4 Rom as base, when you could use the most recent malaysia 2.3.5??

2 - why almost all developers deactivate the CRT animation?? Its a really nice effect...

I'll try your Rom, since you've so good feedback and I enjoy a lot what I've saw on the videos. As I don't have too much time to change ROMs, should I try it right away your RLS2, or you're working on a new release that will come out very soon and I should wait?

Hi there!

Since Mile high pie r7 keeps rebooting I've decided to give this rom a try! However, I'm just wondering whether I should get RLS 2 or wait it out until RLS3. If you guys are nearly finished with RLS3, then i'll wait but if its going to take a bit longer i'll just get rls2. Can you tell me when rls3 will be out?

answers: -1: because it was close to stock gingerbread. wanted a nice clean yet proven slate to start with.(i used it myself for weeks).

-2: no idea, probably just a question of taste.

RLS3 is comming. but might still be a while. flash rls2. if you want a rom that is easy to use on a day to day basis, this is one of them :)

OK, so far, I'm getting 'Package file was not signed correctly' when trying to update Google maps & Droidwall. Have I got this to look forward to for the few other apps that came with this ROM ?

Any straightforward way to uninstall the problem apps to get the correctly signed versions that can be updated as I've had no success yet removing those 2 ?

Edit; Problem solved. So far so good and it looks like it's worth persisting to solve any niggles !

Had the same problem. You have to uninstall those apps (this includes Gmail) and reinstall them afterwards from the Market. I would still do a reboot after the uninstall, though.

Thanks to the authors, this rom is smooth and fast!

I just have a problem with the gps: if I boot with gps activated, it works, no problem.......... but if I desactivate it and try to activate it again, it does not work anymore until I reboot the phone....... Have somebody noticed the same issue??

For the keyboard, search 'keyboard from Android 2.3' in the market, you can then change the layout.......

Haven't tested this yet. But has anyone tried the Gingerbread GPS fix already?

First of all, you need to convert to Gen 2. The 160MB system partition should be big enough for most stuff, so you want the v9 custom TPT. First you need to backup any apps/data you want to keep, as the TPT will wipe it all.

When you open the TPT Helper app, pick the All in One option. It should give you a list of TPT's to pick. Choose the Gen 1 to Gen 2 v9 custom one, and let the app download, unzip and check it. If it says the that everything worked, then you're ready to start. press the back button to go back to the main screen, and pick the Start TPT button. It will ask if you're sure, as long as everything matched in the previous step, it should be safe to start. When you click yes, your phone should reboot and you should see some green text. It should then boot into ClockworkMod (think its version 5.0.2.0). Once you get there, you can flash the Fish and Chips zip and that's you done.

If nothing happens when you tell it to start the TPT, then you just need to do it manually. Turn off your phone, then turn it back on again while holding menu and vol+. Keep holding them until you see the green text, then continue as above.

This worked like a charm for me aswell. The ROM is blazing fast and got lots of nice stuff. Can't give you guys enough credit!

The xt9 dictionary has been removed by us deliberately. It was never any good in the first place. Its easy to reinstall should you want to.

We thoroughly recommend that you use Swype. IT IS AWESOME!!! Please try Swype. And then you can revert back to the xt9 dictionary if you so wish :)

Thanks for the information.. Unfortunately I am not able to use swype too comfortably.. Can you suggest me on how to install xt9 dictionary? Besides that, the new market is also not installed..

However, I would like to appreciate your work alot.. I have been an active user of Elitemovil ROMs and GSF, but as compared to them this ROM is really very good.. You should keep up the work.. I have about 4-5 ZTE Blade's on which I would be flashing this ROM now. Usability is very smooth, fast and battery backup is also really good. 5 stars to this ROM..

Also, do you have any plans of coming up with new version 2.3.6 or 2.3.7?

Are you using a Chinese Blade? (one with 256mb RAM) :)
