Damn, I never have had speeds over 5mps at home on 3G, and this ROM tested up to 9mbs. Also my CF-Bench scores were good too. The gps also locks quick and holds 15 to 20ft accuracy. I'm loving it! and that was all with A5!

Alpha 7 will be the last alpha rom. Today (maybe the next hour(s) ) i'm releasing alpha 6. With all fixes for maps, graphics/games, market etc

Bluetooth is for alpha 7 scheduled, after 7 the rom moves up to beta. Beta 1 or 2 should be fully functional without HWA

If i cant seem to fix HWA i'm quiting this part and wait for CM how they fixed it. :) Only minor bugs left now so we will soon have a fully functional ICS. I think that next week the rom will arrive at beta 2 stage. Nevertheless alpha 6 is more then ready for daily use. Its only somewhat slow.

Excellent job so far! Still a bit buggy but took alpha 5 for a ride and great improvements. Good job, continue your much appreciated work!

Had several hard reboots over night, mostly when phone hadn't been used for a while and was unlocked and an app opened.. or home was long pressed and the UI went blurry and hung. Soft reboots seem to be few and far between (thankfully).

Registered here because I got annoyed by all the dicking on XDA :)

Looking good, not sure I'm going to use this as a daily driver as I can't be bothered to configure all my apps without the market. Anyway, I know it's an alpha and it's starting to look real good :) Have you made any progress on the camera yet? I'm sorry if this is already asked, quickly went through the thread but may have missed something. The camera has always been a pain in the ass in the history of Android development, so I don't expect it anytime soon.

Ow, about the music app you showed, definately include! The current music app looks like a disaster area in ICS :P

Tight work bro! Looking forward to 5A update and can't wait til 1B comes. Dude the work you've put in is amazing!

Will the volume issue be fixed that causes the reboot during calls? Just curious too know....

Also the annoying red bars under each word I type lol

Hey Trip, what's going on with the USB storage? Was the kernel built without usb gadgets or something? It seem that PTP MTP nor USB mass storage work.

The usb drivers need to be upgraded to ICS will be done sometime.

Has anyone figured out how to get Google Talk working? I tried it from this pack http://goo-inside.me...-20111125-2.zip and it crashes when I try and select my account.

It reports an error (via adb) NEEDS GTalk_SERVICE neither 10043 or current user has permission.

I cleared data and ran the fix_permissions script from recovery but neither works. Anyone have some ideas I could try?

I just asked the same thing two replies above yours, he said no.

* Market not working - at least for buying the 10cent apps (could be a generic issue with the market right now)

* still 2 reboots so far

Hey Trip,

Great progress, great build.

Testing Aplha 6 and there appears to be a problem with secure credential storage that I'm pretty sure wasn't there in the last build. I am on a 802.1x EAP network which requires a certificate to be installed and for this I need to enable secure credential storage which uses my unlock pattern. I seem to remember in the alpha 5 build this worked fine but now when it asks for my unlock pattern it gets stuck and keeps asking for it. (It also says "You must draw your unlocl pattern to confirm a factory data reset." at the bottom of the pattern request) - Could this be a clue!

The same is true if I try to set up a VPN.

Thanks loads for the ICS ROM its looking great and really smooth.

I got my nexus revamped pro live wall paper working the default ones are a no go might have to set permissions maybe no biggie
