Turn on my Vega and screen's frozen! Any clues?

Hi All

I've had my Vega and been running R8 since the summer.

I've updated my apps via the market this afternoon and now the screen does not respond to touch.

I turn the Vega on, it boots and goes to lock screen (I'm running Go Launcher) but does not respond to any touch. When I press power button to show/hide the screen the screen will come on for a few seconds before fading off after a few seconds.

Anyone seen this before? Any idea how to fix?

Thanks!

I had a similar problem and it was the 'noisy' charger causing it. If you have the charger connected, try unplugging it.

Also, you could try a full power off (hold down the power button for more than 10 seconds), and then power on being careful not to touch the screen till it is fully up & running.

Hi Dave

It wasn't plugged in and fully switched on/off a few times but still nothing!

In which case, you may have a faulty unit. Final test would be to revert to stock rom from the myadventvega.co.uk site just to fully check it is not software.

Managed to scramble through to screen calibration. Working now!
