Guest Davidoff59 Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Make a complaint to Ofcom and provide them with links to both this page and the other page, moneysupermarket. I think the link is in this thread to the msm website. What we see here is potentially a very small portion of those affected.
Guest siqass Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 After several phone calls to orange finally got through to tech department and the guy removed it. I did not asked why as already spent to much time on the phone with all that Orange shambles company. At least finally device is working
Guest psychoduck Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Hi, I have had the same problem with exactly the same timescales. Had the phone for over a year, purchased new online from Orange. Unlocked it online and have been running a T-Mobile simcard in it since day 1. Three weeks ago the phone stopped working one day (unable to make or recieve calls, however internet access was still enabled). I believe this is how the SF behaves when the IMEI number has been blacklisted. I spoke to Orange who informed me that the phone had indeed been blacklisted but it wasnt them who blacklisted it and it needs to be unblacklisted by the network operator who applied it. I then spoke to T-Mobile and they confirmed the number had been blacklisted but it also wasnt them who blacklisted it. At this point nobody was able to tell me who applied the blacklisting so I have ended up buying another handset as I need a working phone. Seems quite strange that a few people are having this issue.
Guest jonep Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 I wonder if any of this has a common factor like the unlocking service used?

I wonder if any of this has a common factor like the unlocking service used? It would appear to effect the people that never went through the activation process on delivery as mentioned in their Orange delivery email

Guest ampeli Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Complained to Orange about my OSF blacklisting. They tried ignoring my first letter, so sent the second via registered post. Have now received compensation of £90.
