Guest Navlem Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 Now running optimised V20O on my 2X, time to merge in all my tweaks! :D P That's great news. :)
Guest Nic0co Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 very good news ;) thx Paul, is it possible to ad some mod like "kill a lunched app by pressing 2 secondes the return button" I think No, (hard modification in the rom) but ?
Guest Ximo F. Verde Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 Now running optimised V20O on my 2X, time to merge in all my tweaks! :D P I dont wanna spam but.. this is indeed great news!
Guest mparack Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 Now running optimised V20O on my 2X, time to merge in all my tweaks! :D P Great news indeed. This is the only thing stopping me from moving to CM7. Though I'm already on V20O the flexibility and customizability of MCR and the kitchen is highly missed as well as Paul's optimizations of course.
Guest vrowdy Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 I'm really looking forward to this, I'm on CM7 now because 20L caused major issues for me and I did want Gingerbread for several reasons. But I've always like MCR better than CM and I saw in the 20M/O release notes that most of my issues (if not all) had been fixed, so I have good hope that GR6 will be absolutely great.
Guest ciarpame Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Now running optimised V20O on my 2X, time to merge in all my tweaks! :D Hope we can have a taste of GR6 in time for this weekend. My GR5 has serious reboot issues toggling wifi and I found somewhere that are V20L related. Thanks for your efforts.
Guest c.joenie Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Any news ^^? excitedly waiting :D
Guest mparack Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Looks like V20P or whatever they name it will be out soon based on some posts at XDA linking to the LG Italy facebook page. Apparently LG are not fully satisfied with the signal/reception of V20O and have opted to develop further LG Post Ciao Alex, siamo d'accordo, la V20o era una versione migliore rispetto alla V20l. PerĂ² non ci convinceva la parte di ricezione, quindi abbiamo optato per prolungare lo sviluppo e migliorare quella parte. Translation Hello Alex, we agree, the V20o was a better version than the V20l. But we are not convinced that part of the reception, so we opted to extend the development and improve that part. Guest Paul Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 I heard from an EXTREMELY reliable source that all development on GB is stopped to work on ICS...! P
Guest sane? Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 I heard from an EXTREMELY reliable source that all development on GB is stopped to work on ICS...! P Maybe there is direct read across from the 'reception' part of the GB ROM to the ICS one? Sounds like the kind of bit that wouldn't change much, and wouldn't it be the essentially separate BB bits anyway that determined 'reception' anyway? Could well be that the order came down "finish off GB at 'O', and only work on things directly relevant to ICS, backporting allowed in the margins".
Guest hicks12 Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Good, im glad they have stopped working on GB! I couldnt care about that, they should just cut their losses and skip straight to the current OS version as they wont be able to release ICS at a reasonable time if they are busy with making GB better than it is... Personally i found froyo to be solid as well as this GB 20O stuff, custom roms will keep it sorted until they can manage to get Nvidia to listen and release the god damn code for improvements!. Also, hopefully Paul you have a solid alternative to current v20O based roms as id fancy jumping back on your lot again :) will keep me busy till ICS lol!
Guest alncool Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 @mparack Hey, I really hope this is a relyable source. Since i've changed my 622 BB for a newer one it's like something has damaged the signal/reception on my O2X. I tried to get back to my older BB but still horrible horrible quality call/reception. Even with V20xxx official series, using LG's upgrading soft etc.. Well ICS is a great news but i would like to be able to use my phone as a real phone first! I wish LG will release something that fix that problem soon, really !
