As Master_T said, this is only an alpha version so it should be normal to have a battery drain issue. I think devs want to get all hw working properly before managing little things like this.

A question about kernel: will this rom runs over a modified LN kernel or a completely new one?

Dont know for now, but the base kernel of course - from our gb. Thepasto thinking about moving to 2.6.32-35, but its really hard and may get a lot of time. So no forecast for a next build release date. We need more developers from "old team", but almost all of them have new phones, or new developers.

I think that the kernel will be a new one, with a good part coming from the LNP one, but as Romzes said "we need fixes to kernel !!! ", i think a lot of fixes, becouse ICS is a sort of "from scratch" distro, instead of GB that is a FroYo Spin-Off.

The excessive battery drain is probably due by te forced GUI HW rendering ... actually we cannot say if our Liquid could manage ICS in a good way without LAG and with a good battery drain, I cross my fingers, and I hope adreno 200 could give us mor satisfactions.

Great news - i have got to work "hw acceleration" - now the speed is f**g great, gallery works. But its still not "full" hw acc, its just like on Nexus One - its faster in many times than before.

Still need time to test it and possibly fix something - on cm9 its not very stable, but on evervolv rom its better.

About google - nothing for now - there are needed changes in kernel, so thepasto is trying to fix it..

I havent worked on camera problem.

Acer Liquid - Alpha 31 (ICS_4.0.3_CM9).

Changes:

- got first attempt for using hw acceleration with hacks (better overall speed of ui, working gallery (but many forcecloses) etc);

- cut out gapps (not working yet);

- added scripts to swap and а2sd (from n1).

P.s. Swap is working, but а2sd is requires ext3 or ext4 partition. If you have ext3 or ext4 then you need to run in Terminal Emulator - a2sd (not tested).

Its just temporary - i have copied this script from evervolve's rom (from n1, desire etc).

Its not critically because this rom for now not "for daily using" =)

There are roms on xda-developers for HTC Desire S, Incredible S - they have 2d/3d acceleration. Im think that problem with adreno200 will be solved, 'cause there are a lot of popular phones with this GPU. And i have read that Samsung Galaxy Ace will receice official update to ICS (it was written in official samsung twitter post) which have also adreno200 on board.

WiFi is not working for me.

It worked great on Build 27 but for some reason on Build 31, I turned it on and it turned back off.

Is this a known bug or should I re-flash?
