[Development][ROM] Stock FROYO + 2.6.32 kernel

it looks like a custom rom for um840 based on official huawei froyo 2.2.

the error looks like in update script and it's not good - their mistake.

potentially it might boot into android if boot on our boot.img. Radio, wifi, sound, gps will not work out of box though.

installation script should be fixed first. Try to remove that 'su' related lines from updater-script.

I liked that claim in the most recent version of their rom:

"mejorado en un 50% el consumo de bateria con respecto a versiones anteriores."

EN: "improved by 50% battery consumption compared to previous versions."

confirmed by reading it that this rom is a customized rom based on the original one.

No big thing except it has been updated to multitouch cause when 2.2 rom was launched the multitouch was lost (2.1 rom has it).

i have a question

Can i use the boot.img of um840-20120215 on the CM7.2 rom? Allready tried but no luck. it stucks.

Also like wifi is working ok what is the possibility of adapt it to CM7.2?

as for boot.img - it does not make much sense, as the kernel is basically the same; slightly different is ramdisk, but it is rom-specific.

unfortunately wifi behave the same way for me. It falls asleep and never wakes up untill turned off and then on.

And this is predictable as exactly the same kernel is in both roms. The issue with wifi is in kernel integration with wifi driver, and should be fixed there. Then if fixed it'll benefit both roms - this one and cm7.

I wipe it! Very good, the sound is bigger.

I wish that wifi can wake up after sleep.

Might just be that somehow system apps are not checked for valid signature since they are (normally) not modified and are thus "trusted" by the system regardless of signature?

dsixda rom kitchen has a function built in for signing apks. I don't know if that is what people are doing. I use this function to sign individual apk's all the time.

50% less consumption?!! That would be awesome!

I'm curious of they dropped Superuser from the rom or if they moved su to /xbin when it should have been in /bin or vice-versa. You can look to see where the "su" file is, and make the line in the script match. If there is no su file, then just delete the line as suggested.

they claim they used some performance script/app (I don't understand Spanish unfortunately).

Link to the script mentioned there:

And that must was a home for the script,

which now an app on Market:

I see tons of performance optimization scripts there in rom:

/system/etc/init.d/

- 97LagFree

- BatteryLife

- dalvikvm

- Kernelizer

- S97ramscript

- SDSPEED

one is saying that the init.d script can be use in any version and even on galaxy s2...

Anónimo dijo...Sirve para cualquier version y tambien si es compatible con mi galaxy s2

i am booting um840-20120215 with the ini.d file in...will try also with cm7.2

I have only one question. Is the kernel exactly the same as in CM7 (.32)?

yes, only small difference is that this one have extra support for usb-tethering. Other than that it's the same.

i don²t know what is happening ...wifi is scanning/connecting/disconnecting all the time...so i have no connection....is there a missing file in my rom?

lib or other?

edit...the init .d file seem to be efficient ....but it is just my feeling

Ah, the juwe script. Yes, I have looked at that previously.

Some times these very high claims of improvement are from people who have never done anything to tweak their phone's performance or battery saving. If you are already doing most everything the "new" script is setting for you, you don't see anything close to the improvements others claim.

try them and let us know if they make Pulse fly and add 50% better battery life as claimed.

you need my latest rom, as only it supports init.d scripts.

Oh, I love this thing. It even has my native language.

I'll start using it as my daily rom and will report if there are some unknown bugs. :D

Thank you!

is it planned to make oc for that rom?

It is overclocked already (It's a kernel feature). Use SetCPU app or similar to set up desired frequency.

Also it runs out of box overclocked to 614MHz (it was like that originally in this stock rom).
