Guest downloader50 Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) After one day using RLS4, noted that it consumes more battery than the RLS3... 23% remaining... If you were reinstalling apps etc then it will use loads of battery but it is worrying will charge fully tonight and monitor if i don't use the phone it usually drops about 15% per day if i turn it on at 06.20 off at 22.30 Edited February 9, 2012 by downloader50
Guest elrond_bs Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) You can't compare battery usage after one day since installing. It takes days (even with battery calibration) for the new ROM to get optimal battery levels. Even if you didn't wipe, it's best to wait 4-5 days to get the picture :) Edited February 9, 2012 by elrond_bs

Guest isch Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Hi, in case you are planning a RLS5: Some ROM had the option to use the VolumeDown key to take a photo in the Camera app. I don't know which ROM it was, maybe CM. It would be cool if this could be included here as well :) isch Great work!
Guest ZTE Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Hi folks, Just to confirm, is it OK to update from RLS3 to 4B with just a cache wipe, not a full wipe? BTW, thanks for the great work Konsta T. This is my first 2.3 ROM after months of SSpring RLS5 and it's so much smoother. Angry Birds is much more playable (yes, I'm still playing it!). Thanks for any help. Cheers :)
Guest HeartMode Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) Hi Konsta, Great Work! Can you please include these translation to your ROM? It's Portuguese PT-PT (It's Different from PT-BR, for me, a lot, there are some words that we don't understand, 500+ years of evolution :)) "Power button Menu Silent Mode - Modo Silencioso (Sound Is ON/OFF - O Som está Activo/Inactivo) Airplane Mode - Modo de Voo (Modo de Voo está Activo/Inactivo) Screenshot - Captura de Ecrã Reebot - Reiniciar Recovery (Do NOT translate this, this is a foreignness and there is no direct translation to this) Power OFF - Desligar Menu ROM: Title: Configurações da ROM Power Widget Buttons - Botões de Widget Power Widget Button Order - Ordem dos Botões de Widget Hide On Change - (I don't understand this option very well, so I didn’t translate it), keep the same as PT-BR for now. if you can explain later... Battery Bar Settings - Definições da barra de bateria Proximity sensor Calibration - Calibração do Sensor de Proximidade USB Charging - Carregamento Via USB About - Acerca" Thank You!!! Guest sal.fresco Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Se me permitem escrevo em Português. apenas uma correcção: Botões escreve-se com "o" e não com "u". Just a little correction: Buttons in Portuguese writes with "o" and not with "u" = "Botões" regards and a big Thanks to KonstaT Hi Konsta, Great Work! Guest daaneel Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 So we shouldn't expect an update with a stable lockscreen music controls mod? Not that I really want it bad or anything, but it's a nice feature so it would be cool :) Great work on spotting the bug and fixing the release though Konsta! The text scroll with volume buttons feature from RLS4 was the real winner to me anyways :)

As far as I know all the SS and the MMHMP roms automatically wipe that cache before the install, so there is no need to do in manually. Hope that helps

Too lazy to re-install all those apps! Can anyone confirm the built-in cache wipe? I'll give it a go tomorrow. Need zzzzzzzzzz now. Thanks again.

Guest Cyclothunder Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 I came from moldovan rom to SS RLS4b and in both roms i have problems with proximity sensor. When i go to proximity sensor calibration in rom settings, it says: Proximity X: Stop ......................... fail Then i hit the button, calib and calibraion go sucessfull but the sensor remains fail! Before installing SS RLS4b i did all the wipe stuff. When i was using the moldovan rom i even tried some apps to try to fix it but no luck. any tips?

Yeah, I had a glitch with this back with the first MMHMP. I think if you just move your hand close to the sensor but not covering, whilst calibrating (you know like you were holding it to your face) I think it works. It was so long ago, that I can't quite remember exactly what I did. But I know once the thing calibrated, I've never had problem since.

Calibrate it like this you go too settings - rom settings - proximity sensor calibration - press on calib - a sensor test pop up comes on saying proximity calibration is ok when you go to the main screen it may still say fail place your hand over the top of the phone screen and it changes to proximity sensor is ok

If the proximity sensor is working in the first place, there is really no reason to calibrate it (even if it is made easy). ;) Most proximity calibration issues I've heard of have been sorted with reboot/wipe/reinstallation. Some have said calibrating sensor under bright light might help. There is also official ZTE calibration app in the market that you can try. There is also an option to use a stock kernel if you have some hardware issues. If proximity sensor doesn't work with any ROM, you can't rule out hardware failure.
Guest fp30 Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 @KonstaT dont know if you saw my message from yesterday but do you reckon it'd be possible to port this recent apps view http://rootzwiki.com...ge__pid__351098 to this or CM7 ROM?

Yeah, sorry I don't think it's possible in gingerbread. This just sort of turns the standard ICS recent apps view from vertical to horizontal. Edited February 10, 2012 by KonstaT
Guest Grejo Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 I have no reaction by changing the settings in CM7 DSP Manager (rls4b). I installed these release with the TPT method.

Guest trustbyte Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 the older version RLS3 had the same problem as almost all the custom ROMs I test: Calling with a Voip application (Viber, MobileVOIP) the sound is redirected to the speaker and not as it is normal, the earphone speaker. The problem goes away in this release, 4b? If not, please, can you recompile the libaudio.so using the fix which is located on this page code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=2858 ?

Guest KonstaT Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) Swedish-Snow-RLS4b-TPT.zip http://www.mediafire...0fv832zzy4gcpq8 Link broken? :/ Broken how? Works ok for me. :o the older version RLS3 had the same problem as almost all the custom ROMs I test: Calling with a Voip application (Viber, MobileVOIP) the sound is redirected to the speaker and not as it is normal, the earphone speaker. The problem goes away in this release, 4b? If not, please, can you recompile the libaudio.so using the fix which is located on this page code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=2858 ? This is already asked and answered almost once every page. Suggested workaround is to use andorko's 0.6 RDS radio app to re-route voip audio to earpiece. It should be also possible to hack a fix into each voip app as I know it's already done for Skype in the past. Feel free to do so and share it with other users. This ROM is based on ZTE stock ROM. I can't compile libaudio.so for this ROM, because I don't have source code for it. Edited February 10, 2012 by KonstaT
