Sorry to be a bit off-topic, but I am looking for the flashlight app that was - I believe - included in older versions of your rom.

I think it was this one : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.flashLight

Problem is that I do not like the new version with all the added options.

Would you still have the APK of the old version ?

Thanks in advance !

Yeah, that is exactly the reason I don't include it anymore. The older version was just brilliant in its simplicity.

Old version attached (rename .zip -> .apk).

Thanks a lot!

I flash my ZTE-U V880 China Unicom with Swedish Snow RLS6 (Android 2.3.5) and all works fine!

how long should first boot take, i wiped dalvik, did full wipe and then installed the zip and have been stuck on green android for 20 mins, i have a 1gb ext whick i think got wiped in the full wipe will it be this causing the long boot?

i already had rls6 tpt, but my darktremor ext didn't work so this is installing again from zip instead.

EDIT

I just pulled the battery wiped again and installed now it is working :)

But I heard that if you kill the application accidentally using task killer, it does not ring :). Is this valid for this too? :)

I don't use task killers, as agpoli said they are useless Android does a good enough job on it's own but yeah I think that would be the same with all such apps.

Konstat,

I'm still having problems with my camera, TomG's patch for dutch blades gave me the right preview image but the camera app still crashes when I take a picture. Could you tell me who I need to bug with this or could you have a look at it yourself? I included alogcat.

Thnx in advance,

Thanks you all :).

@KonstaT: BTW, will you include ZTE smart dialer or the default dialer for the next version? :)

Good to see finally a logcat. :) It crashes here: E/AndroidRuntime( 1227): java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid rotation=176. Still something wrong with the camera rotation. I'll look into it but it might be impossible to fix as all the camera libs are the same in all ZTE gingerbread releases and ZTE froyo libs won't work (and we don't have the source for any of these). At least it works now in third party apps without issues.

Am I right in saying that it now works in CM7 without any issues? Does the stock camera app crash and how's the preview?

ZTE dialer is available as an add-on (see the first post).

It should be flashing SS RLS6. Tell me, who can know what to tweak in the firmware files(and what files to look for it?) To soft buttons were at the bottom, like Burgerza? Ato well, not very comfortable when they are on top, meaning all they lost.

Is it possible to configure the screen orientation sensor sensitivity somehow? My screen seems to keep changing when I tilt the phone slightly also.

Go into ........Settings>Display>Auto-Rotate Screen

Remove the tick

Hope that helps :D

I have recently performed a full wipe (incl. formatting the SD card) and installed rls 6 from scratch, loading all my apps from Google Play (because formatting the SD card wiped my Titanium Backups; d'oh!). When I dial *110# to check my Giffgaff balance it displays the balance but also opens the 'Mobile network settings' screen.

I'm not bothered about a fix or anything (I only use it occasionally and can live with it no probs) but wondered whether anybody else is experiencing this?

In all CM7 roms I encountered so far (CM7, CM7.1, CM7.2 RC1) (without TomG's patch) the camera didn't work properly. Before the kernel source was released, it didn't even work at all. In all CM versions, the camera was inverted. the camera would be very unstable as well, freezing preview images, fc'ing after taking a few pictures and so on.. With TomG's patch the inverted preview was fixed and showed a correct camera preview. But the camera would still be as unstable as before the patch, showing almost the exact same issues. I could provide some more logcats if needed, just tell me of which rom you want a logcat (and whether i should flash TomG's patch with it as well.) thanx.

I got this from CM7 forum:

I don't know if anyone ever noticed on this but you can save some 5 to 10 seconds when connecting to a wireless network just by editing /etc/dhcpcd/dhcpcd.conf and adding "noarp" to the end of the file. It will look like this

interface wlan0
option subnet_mask, routers, domain_name_servers, domain_search, host_name, domain_name

noarp

DHCP by default checks via ARP if the assigned IP address is really not taken. noarp disables that. This probably doesn't cause any problem to anyone (especialy if you are using a home network) I always do this modification and my blade gets a working wireless connection much faster... try it ;)

And indeed: the connection is faster. Maybe this is somthing to include in the next ROM.

So after TPT install, go into clockword en install add-on. Is a wipe or something needed after TPT?

I can't enter birthdays when I edit my contacts (no field to enter birthdays available). Is that normal? (using german language setting)

Updated to RLS7. Couple of new screenshots in the first post. This will be the final release (and I mean it this time ;)). Wipe shouldn't be necessary updating from previous versions. If you have problems of kind, do a full wipe first. 'No wipe, no whine' policy still stands. Quite a few add-ons updated, others just renamed. Only use add-ons/themes that are in the first post or were made using RLS7 files.
