Guest jerrin Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 I have an Idea cellular zte blade. I installed MMHMP and patched the undervolted kernel. I did not expect my camera to work, but to my surprise everything started working perfect (as opposed to what i have read here). as of now it's working perfect. no bugs nothing. tried camera is working, but when i turned the phone on after switching off, the touchscreen stopped responding, similar problem with Swedish Snow too.
Guest shabahat Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 there shouldn't be a problem if you are rooted. check using basic root checker. which rom u using. I've a rooted phone that's confirm. I used the zroot for rooting and after that used the other softwares that required root like titanium backup superuser etc. tell me any other way to. I wanna update my phone using cm7.

Guest aneesasil Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Hi, Congrats on your new purchase ! You can try upgrading to the gingerbread update using the Moldovan Mile High Mountain Pie. You will have to download it and with it download the Swedish Kernel. It works perfectly fine with the Idea Blade. This website has wonderful, helpful and very intelligent members. You will find all the instructions how to install a custom rom on this website, just give a search and you will be provided with all you require for your upgrade. regards: Anees. i have purchase a new blade from idea and i would like to upgrade the rom can any body help me

Guest jerrin Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Burstlam has released a fully working kernel with overclocking for newer blades like Idea Blade. No wipe required just flash with Clockwork mod. Tried it with Swedish Snow RLS5 and works fine. works with almost any rom. http://android.modaco.com/topic/351892-gen2-kernel-update-for-cm7-and-stock-based-custom-rom/
Guest shobhit_1990 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Thx for the help jerrin. Finally got the solution.
Guest CompChamp Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 Hi, Just installed the Moldovan Mile-High-Mountain-Pie RLS9 (Android 2.3.5) and applied the the kernel patches. This is the link http://android.modac.../page__st__1020 I installed the rom and after installing applied the kernels. After installing the 1st kernel the cam didnt work so had to install the Swedish stock kernel and it worked like a charm. No I am truly happy and enjoying the rom. Havent come across any bugs as yet. shall post if i find anything. Optional kernels: -M-MHMP-RLS9-Undervolt-Kernel-Gen2.zip (thanks to wbaw and burstlam, source) http://www.mediafire...fdieke4sgtir4n9 MD5:30082A193E6483C5473D58385E83EC90 -M-MHMP-RLS9-Swedish-Stock-Kernel-Gen2.zip (latest stock kernel with wifi driver) http://www.mediafire...ob7we5f7e9swp6b MD5:CEC036E5DE02EB408EBE18757B81FD82 -M-MHMP-RLS9-Malaysian-Stock-Kernel-Gen2.zip (stock kernel with wifi driver) http://www.mediafire...5sa8w7suim1hb1j MD5:B442394AD8864EAD01F240345B99CCA9 The steps to install the custom rom are as follows: first of all you will have to root your phone, by installing Z4root, then download and install superuser from the market, then download and install rom manager from the market. then run rom manager and flash clockwork mod recovery and while doing this please be certain that your internet on the mobile is on. Please backup your original rom to your SD card before installing any new rom so that you can restore your original rom anytime. I am posting a link please read the detailed instructions and only then try installing it http://www.androidta...om-kernels.html my email id is [email protected] if you require any assistance pls email. Thanks ! hey hi , I have installed MMHMP on my dell xcd35,but it wont connect to local network, any idea why this happens. The phone always remains in airplane mode (donno why) ,should i try another ROM ?what do you suggest.

Guest Vivek S Panicker Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 I tried to install this custom rom but after booting, I failed to boot and had to restore to stock rom using backup image. I installed in the following way. Copied the Moldovan-Mile-High-Mountain-Pie-RLS9.zip and M-MHMP-RLS9-ZTE-Dialer.zip files into SD card. Z4root is installed and rooted the system. Thereafter Rom manager is installed and a backup of stock rom is taken. Then I reboot the sytem into recovery mode. From there I wiped cache, dalvik cache and then chose install from zip from SD card. I selected the MMHMP zip file and istallation completed message also seen. When I rebooted the system, it is not booting into custom rom but showing the android first screen only. I tried wiping again and installed the application but no use. Finally I had to restore my original rom. Can you please help with this?

I have installed MMHMP with out any problem, booting for the first time can take some time and you may have to wait up to 10 minutes before showing the setup screen. You will also need to flash stock kernel provided.

That is the ONLY wipe option you need to select when installing a new ROM. Now with new kernel, Swedish Snow RLS6 should support camera sensor used in Indian Idea Blades 'out-of-the-box'.

Thanks for your reply. I think I need to try your latest ROM. I am completely a newbie in Android though I purchased this device before two months. When or I tried installing the other ROM, I did see the installation complete message and when rebooted I found after the white android logo screen a black screen with android written is showing up without any other messages. I waited 5 or 7 minutes before I remove the battery to restart the system. I never find any information how much time it will take to show the desktop after first boot. So, I am trying to install your SS RLS6 in hours. Let me be clear in what I am trying to do. I am gonna put the zip file in SD card and reboot into recovery mode. From there, I am going wipe data/factory reset. Once this is done with I'll be installing the package file from sd card. I need to reboot after successful installation and wait for 10 minutes to see my desktop. This is the blue print of the action what I am going to adapt in some hours. Please review this and let me know if any additional packages or steps are required.

After installation, on booting you will first see a green android logo, then flashing text "android" and then setup screen where you will need to touch the green logo to start. Best of luck :)

Thanks again for your work. I have installed this last week and found working quite smoothly. But I have some lags noticed sometimes. However after the initial installation I got about 115 MB free space, which is amazing indeed. Following observations are there. I saw if we enable soft buttons in power button widget and disable it later, it will disappear only after rebot. Keyboard sometimes lags. Can u advice themaximum clock speed supports on a 256 MB ram? I have made no try in no frill CPU and left it as is. Battery backup is increased. Launcher app drawer sometimes takes time to load after closing a running application Though I have disabled USB debugging, it still shows when USB is connected. I tried after reboot, same result. Finally, I have made an attempt in guiding installation steps in my blog and it can be found in below link. Upgrading ZTE Blade from Froyo to Gingerbird

Upgrading ZTE Blade from Froyo to Gingerbird start from 650 upwards. use your phone heavily for few hours on each freq . the highest till your phone starts hanging is your stable OC freq. it varies for all handsets.
