Its not, it means a lot of extra work to gain performance, but it seems that i need to prefer stability over performance.

to tell the truth, i cant tell the difference between any of your roms performance wise.

to tell the difference you would have to run tests, and tell me what user does that? But

any user can notice instability. your roms speed are awesome, if you fixed the instability

just about EVERYONE with a rooted sensation would use your roms.

Thanks for doing this. Stability is more important than performance. I don't understand why people keep benchmarking their phones - they're phones, not workstations. I need my phone to run as reliably as possible, instead of having it randomly shut off so I miss calls - not a very useful phone, even though that is the intended purpose of this device.

As long as the rom runs smoothly, I'm not concerned with benchmarks, people just like to push their phones for the hell of it, what's the purpose though?

Yes offcourse its an HTC stock kernel, you need the 3.25 firmware to run it properly. Just grab the firmware from the 3.25 XE RUU and youre good to go. Just always grab the latest XE stuff then you always will be compatible with my rom. Also if you have a normal sensation, i do have a normal sensation but only XE stuff there is no point in using the normal sensation stuff so just ignore it and go XE

Edit:

latest firmware posted in the firmware topic, flash that and you'll have the exact same configuration as what i'm running now

My phone went well with beta 002, and 3.0 kernel. Gone back to 001, 403v8 etc as before and flashed 3.0 straight over the top, voice search works, 23 apps + goggle sync, maps, gmail, GPS, WIFI, (reboot into recovery- via rom manager) all working, no reboots... THANKS TRIP

How much difference will the stability update make over running 002 with sebastians kernel?

I couldn't get USB storage to work on b001. Was trying to put a important file on my SD and my computer would not recognize my phone. Made sure I clicked turn on USB storage but didn't work. Reverted to a back up of a stripped sense ics rom and was able to USB right away. Has anyone else tried USB storage?

I am using B001 and I just transferred the new firmware over thru USB without a problem.

I have not had as many issues as everyone else with B001. WiFi works without any updates or anything. I will be flashing the new B003 here this evening when TripNRaver post's it. My trouble has been my Facebook app. I get reboots from using the Facebook app with Trip's kernal. However I found I only have the problem when I put my custom voltages in. It passes my stability tests however for some reason Facebook doesn't like it.

Troubles seem to be minimal at this stage. Hope the new B003 cuts this issue out. Hoping there are new setting features soon too!

Regards

Is there any fix for the audio jack problem? Why is it not listen as not working on the original post? It's a big issue.

There is a workaround explained earlier in this thread. However even with that fix it's still not fully functional. I guess Trip has more important things to do with that rom than fixing audio jack and i quite agree.

Figured out the Talk issue. Working now.

Can you tell what you've done to fix Google Talk F/Cing?

Since i upgraded to B002 and flashed the latest firmware Trip suggested (including the HTC kernel thing), i get F/C on Google Talk. In B001 this worked perfectly. Anyone got an idea?

Edit: I installed the GApps v8 for ICS 4.0.3, which worked fine for B001.

I guess I was referring to some of the "spot" holders you had in the menus. Like the lock screens and such.

I also loved the vertical power widget that was on CM7 as well.

Keep up the good work. Enjoying this thing! :-)

Talk wasn't included, so I flashed GAPPS v8... but Talk continues to force close when I try to log in. Any workaround for this?
