Guest frcfed Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 +1 here. I tried to fix permission and I am waiting for results... You need to wipe /data/ after flashing the new kernel. Smooth as hell afterwards, vibrating reboots otherwise.
Guest motopaddy Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) Running this CM9 ROM since yesterday and I must say, good job! So far everything works, except what's already known... Did the following steps: * Wipe data / cache * Wipe dalvik * Flash ROM * Flash gapps * Flash WIFI fix * Flash Crisp kernel * Wipe dalvik again Don't seem to have the clipped / distorted audio thing by the way. Good work Trip! Edit: just had first reboot when opening an article in a news app. Edited February 1, 2012 by motopaddy

Guest frcfed Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 I'll do it.Thanks! I wish Trip would merge the wifi fix into the rom, as with the kernel so we aren't stuffing around with all these .zips. :/
Guest sonnguyen10123 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 You can try, but you'll probably get a warning or permanent BAN from XDA. damn, i dont wanna risk that.

After installing the toggleheadset widget and nova launcher its now daily driver stable.
Guest motopaddy Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Followed your steps and the rom is working fine, thanks man. And thank you for reminding me of the toggleheadset widget:p Totally forgot it!
Guest yht9425 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 ever since i switch the cpu governor to ondemand from tripnraver havent have a single reboot or locked up anymore and is been like 2 days now. there maybe something with tripnraver governor that is cause the locked up or crash.
Guest 4D3 Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 You can try, but you'll probably get a warning or permanent BAN from XDA. why would that be?
Guest Jiggs82 Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Any CRT animation mod for this rom?
Guest sonnguyen10123 Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 why would that be? xda doesn't want his work. But TRIP let me grt peenission to do it
Guest ladicx Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Holy s***. Now I see what all the fuss is about. Been following Trips roms for awhile but never flashed one. This rom is amazing. Great work man. Hope to see the little bugs that have been mentioned fixed and the thread evolve.
Guest Sleef Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 For the record, no one is getting banned on XDA for talking about any of Trip's ROMs. No one. He doesn't want links to his work on XDA (I think.) and XDA doesn't want his work posted there. That's it. Feel free to talk about it there. There's a thread in general that's going strong. It's going strong because this work is really awesome and we want to talk about it. Had this going for a couple days now with minimal problems. A reboot here and there. MAYBE twice a day and usually when I try to go to Gmail via the notification window. Great work, man.
Guest vorBeth Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) Removed cause Trip cried about someone else helping him Edited February 3, 2012 by vorBeth
Guest Dai323 Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 I've modded the Camera a little to include all the resolutions supported by the stock htc camera, Extract the apk from Camera.zip and push it to /system/app/ Here's the resolutions added / changed 8MP(4:3, 16:9, 5:3, 3:2) 5MP(4:3, 16:9, 5:3, 3:2) 4MP(4:3, 3:2) 3MP(4:3, 16:9, 5:3, 3:2) 2MP(4:3, 16:9, 3:2) 1MP(5:4, 4:3, 16:9, 5:3, 3:2) 960x720, 640x480, 640x416, 640x384, 640x368, 320x240, 272x272 @Trip: I've uploaded the raw xml files for you so you can overlay them in your /device tree (CameraOverlay.zip) That does indeed seem to fix the reboot/lockup issue, thanks. Awesome. Thank you for this. I ll give it a go.
Guest mark9white Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Great ROM, outside a couple of issues works very well! Has anyone managed to get Kindle reader app working on it?

Nice -- Since you made changes to the cam -- do you think you could add the CM classic Vol Up/Down features to take pics? Edit -- After replacing the Camera.apk under system/app/ phone rebooted on its own and Cam Recorder FCs. Panorama Cam seems fine. Edited February 2, 2012 by Kykiskly

Where do you do this again?
Guest motopaddy Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Switching GPU governor to ondemand also seems to make the ROM a bit smoother. Could be wrong, but app drawer seems to load a lot smoother now. One question about the camera zip: how do I push the apk file to system/apps?

I noticed it does FC on video, but as that did not work anyhow I thought I would share.
Guest Dano79 Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 I can confirm opening gmail from notification bar does reboot the phone
