File manager must be in every ROM - I hope tilal will include it in next release.

Unless CM introduce a file manager I'm not including one.

Also release might be pushed back indefinitely due to the freeze / reboot bug from the first version coming back. I know what's causing it but it will take a bit of time to fix.

Why? As long as you have the market you can just download whatever your preferred file manager is. If you were especially used to the file manager included with CM7 the one you want is OI File Manager I believe. Or at least it used to be that. I've never used the included file manager so I couldn't say for sure.

So you would rather use an awful one like OI instead of your preferred one? Just make an update zip or install via adb or install via pm or add it to your rom zip or get one off the market.

Does anybody know barcode scanning application that works or is it not possible yet? Barcode scanner and Google Googles can't make snapshot and NeoReader crashes whole phone.

For me barcode-scanning doesn't work with the latest version (31/3), this goes for both zxing (which should take a photo by itself at correct focus) and google goggles (which you tell when to take a photo). I do however have the 5 MP version of the camera. Have someone else tried this? I also find the camera-preview flickering. I have no idea why this is either.

The logcat (I think) hints at focus not being correct. The ordinary camera takes pictures as ususal, but the flickering is present there as well.

Here are some logcats, cam is for the ordinary camera app, bar is for zxing barcode scanner and googles is for google goggles:

logcam.txt

logbar.txt

loggoggle.txt

Edit 1: I've also noticed that sometimes in googles when it seems to be properly focused, and the app is just about to take the photo, the phone just reboots.

Is is possible that Code scaning works by filming? If it is filming isn't working yet.

Well, it really shouldn't. I can't find a reason why it should use other method-calls than taking an ordinary photograph, except for maybe being more sensitive of the focus. Is there anyone else who has tried this that has a 3 MP camera, is the preview flickering for you too?

Barcode scanning will not work because the HAL doesn't support it.

Is it planned or being worked on? Is there any documentation/code I can read?

What is hardware video decoding?

Is it playing through cpu / gpu / both ??

And how it differs from software video decoding .?
