[ICS] [CM9] [4.0.4] ColdFusionX for the ZTE Blade [ROM] [UPDATED - 28/06]

I have been running the ROM for a few days now and its been great. But today I've noticed some serious battery drain. I have lost 50% in 5 hrs! The battery history shows nothing unsual (see attached screenshot), the phone has not been awake for very long nor has wifi been on.

BetterBatteryStats shows no unusual wakelocks from any apps so im sure its not a bad app. However, I have noticed that 'usb_bus_active' has held a kernel wakelock for 99% of the time. Now I'm not sure what this is or whether its responsible for the battery drain but it seems odd that its had a wakelock for so long without the usb cable being connected and that theres been serious battery drain in the same time.

can anyone else check to see if they also have usb_bus_active holding long kernel wakelocks? if so maybe its worth looking into tilal? it might help improve overall battery life

I had a similar issue on gingerbread, if I remember correctly a simple reboot helped. I think it occurs sometimes when charging from computer usb port after doing stuff in adb, perhaps after unplugging it the phone still thinks its attached so keeps awake. That might simply be a problem with my computer zte drivers, as I'm having intermitent 'disconnections' in adb despite it being physically connected.

Hey guys, I'm having a freeze problem here, using CM 9-20120331-NIGHTLY-blade.

Basically, I try to launch an app, then the screen animation happens (where the home screen slides away) and it just freezes. Happens with Stopwatch & Timer app, as well as with Settings. Looks like THIS.

I've tried rebooting many times, wiping cache and all that, nothing helps. Doesn't happen all the time, though. Only sometimes, but often enough to be very annoying. What should I do? Is anyone else having similar problem?

You're using an old build. Update to the latest one.

After updating to the 07/04 version the colour banding that was fixed in 31/03 build has come back, i didnt format the system or wipe data when i flashed this version, is this just me or is colour banding not fixed in this version?

EDIT: Turns out it was my Wifi router after all! The phone has become more reliable that my BT homehub!

(Tilal, I've really noticed an improvement in the firmware since 31.03 other than this :D)

Just installed the ROM and it's working brilliantly for the most part, I installed gapps too but it doesn't seem to have installed the market/play store, I'm sure it's something simple but I can't find anything, any suggestions on getting the market sorted?

How big is your is your /system partition?

You can see the market icon in the top right corner, just below the status bar. Maybe you missed that ;) if it's still not there, check the gapps.zip and see if there's a market apk (vending.apk) in system -> app folder.

Missing market is often the result of a too small system partition. CMW doesn't report an error but if there's no space then you can't do anything about it - some apk's are missing. This happens often with users coming from CM7 or other GB roms who have made their system partition smaller in order to save space - they usually forget to re-increase it. ICS requires at least 160 MB but 185-200 to be safe.

Now, i was playing with Go launcher, unninstalin' apps in app drawer, and BAM! Reboot! Dont say "Dont use this ROM"
