Guest Chocolate Columbo Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Soon to try this with the instructions you've posted. It would make sense since it took this sort of care to get MIUIBlader run well for me. I (along with many, many others) probably didn't give it the time it needed. ive just had a random restart, but i get that on any ics for zte blade, and i understand y. do i habe to download thw youtube video then play it on jetvd and on mx player i assumed u copy the youtube video link u want and paste it in the stream network? if so mx wouldnt play it or any videos via streamin. i had the same prob in my galaxys2 so i must be doin somethin wrong lol edit: im gonna restore gingerbreat coz its more stable for my boy but ive saved this thread as a book mark coz i beleive u will be the first to habe a fallin workin stable ics rom for zte blade. keep up the good work. and dedo keep ur nice attitude coz others have got it all wrong and u dont judge thebook by its cover so thats y i and others will have time out for u :-) Your non-constructive and sanctimonious posts could be considered baiting. Guest Hayden3430 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 After following your step to flash the rom and once completed, i wasn't prompted with the setup wizard, I had a screen saying 'Android is Upgrading' and then optimized 17 apps and then went to the home screen, have i done something wrong?

Not sure why it didn't prompt you unless you already ran through it before. Same thing happened to me on just flashing it again now. It gave the setup menu first flash on the previous version, I ran through it, but it didn't present it after flashing Gapps. This time, not at all. I don't think it's much to worry about though. ppl like u who keep replyin to me are makin things much worst, just stop replyin, its been done and dusted. so move on. That was my first post to you. Guest markastor Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Thank you for your great job! :R Well it's running fine for me but others are clearly having problems with reboots etc. No worries - I'm not easily shaken.

I've got same but it ran very fast/smooth for ~6h until i launched market. When i launched Market and tried to search for some stuff Blade rebooted. Now it's OK but I've got more FC's then before (gallery for exapmle, Calc doesn't work for me also [blank screen]). Btw. Is it possible that some games Asphalt 5, Worms can't be even installed on ICS? For me Asphalt is installing since 5mins. Thank You for making Blade better running ICS. P.S. Sry for my bad English. Guest Amelo007 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) Hey Tilal, not to rush you or anything, but is there a new update coming in the near future? And one more thing, in both ICS and MIUI the phone keeps checking the SD card for a long time when it boots up, sometimes it's causing the phone to crash. Could that be why everyone is having problems at the first startup? Because it's doing so much at the same time? I partitoned the sd-ext to 512 some while ago as well, could that cause some problems with ICS/MIUI? Either way, good job man, words don't express how thankful to you I am :) Edited February 25, 2012 by Amelo007
Guest tilal6991 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 If anyone has been following the ics thread on the skate forum you'll see that the reboots issue is completely fixed. Going to post a fix for the lade as well
Guest markastor Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Waiting for new kernel. :) If anyone has been following the ics thread on the skate forum you'll see that the reboots issue is completely fixed. Going to post a fix for the lade as well
Guest fox2000 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) There is some strange issue with USB charging. I installed the ROM with charger plugged in, and all seemed to go fine (apart from known issues of course). But, when I went to reboot to install GAPPS, the phone froze, I took the charger off and it rebooted (completely, while I chose "boot in recovery"). Then, during this reboot it froze once more and I had to remove the battery. After rebooting (with charger off), the main screen was blank (wallpaper only, neither clock nor icons were there) and the app drawer empty (!) but, as soon as I plugged the charger in, magically all the icons came back. I also noticed that, at the very first boot (with charger in), looking at the battery icon, phone seemed to be charging properly but, after the second boot (charger off initially, plugged in only after homescreen was displayed) the battery icon stayed unchanged even after plugging in the charger. At the first boot, ADB was working and I could choose to activate mass storage (I didn't test mass storage though); at the second boot, not only does the phone seem not to be charging, but I am neither prompted for ADB or mass storage. (Few minor graphics glitches: for example, when you change the ringtone, the menu flickers whenever you want to listen to a different ringtone.) I'm not going to test GAPPS because Blade is my main phone and I need a stable ROM but, as far as I have seen, this ROM is actually on the good way!! Edited February 25, 2012 by fox2000
Guest fox2000 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) Addition: if I boot with charger in, charging/adb/storage work. If I boot with charger off, they don't! If I boot with charger in, charging/adb/storage will work perfectly even if I remove the charger and plug it again. It's as if the phone sets up all the USB thing at boot, and once it knows that the charger is in, all works. Otherwise, USB does not work! Another thing: when I choose to power off the phone, it freezes or reboots, but does not shut down properly. Edited February 25, 2012 by fox2000
Guest michael spped Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 ya i got the same issue here.but for that u have to boot with the charging on. then only the charger is recognised. may be it the kernel!!!
Guest sssingletrack Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Same issue with charging here, however it does charge by the looks of the battery percentage but it doesn't recognise it..
Guest tilal6991 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 The charging problem will be fixed in the next release. As will the reboot problem.
Guest sssingletrack Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) I've also noticed the gallery works intermittently. I've had it working twice but it keeps just showing a black screen no. Edit : First incoming call, the screen doesn't turn on when it rings, you have to switch it on mnually. Guest evilbrain Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 sd card mounts for a very long time and when it does mount up, the settings page which displays memory doesn't display anything besides my sd capacity, just writes calculating on other lines. Also market does not download anything over wifi and screen seems to be quite unresponsive. These are the things i have noticed and because of them I can't use this rom daily. Hope everything gets fixed :)
