Guest Chocolate Columbo Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 I've also noticed the gallery works intermittently. I've had it working twice but it keeps just showing a black screen no. Edit : First incoming call, the screen doesn't turn on when it rings, you have to switch it on mnually. I had forgotten the incoming call issue. This happened to me also. Well, it rang while in my hand and the screen immediately turned off. Turned it on myself but it took a while and I had missed the call. Worked fine after the first call.
Guest tilal6991 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 New build coming up today which should fix reboots and lag.
Guest jackal-sk Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Looks like u'll have released a stable ICS rom sooner than CM :)
Guest saransh9 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 If u do release both the roms today then I have full day to test it as I'm free tomorrow
Guest fedezubo Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Looks like u'll have released a stable ICS rom sooner than CM :) true story
Guest Biggsy Studios Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) Great work here a really good ROM. I do have one question will you be allowing updates to this ROM via rom manager application for future updates? I have also encountered problem where the market is not installed with the rest of the Google apps, i never follow a setup wizard as it never appears and when i do install the market from an external source i get the "server error" message. Anyone have any ideas to help I have already cleared the data and cache on both the trebutchet launcher and market itself. Edited February 25, 2012 by Biggsy Studios
Guest the Mitu Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Have you looked into contact sync also?
Guest tomlu Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 When I tried to use the reboot option in the power menu to boot into recovery, the phone would first freeze and then reboot normally into system
Guest davy1010 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Great to see people working on getting ICS working. These are some bugs I came accross: - Camera app start but there is no image from the camera just a black screen, and no I was not holding my finger in front of it :-) - You can't download apps from the market with WIFI - Wifi icon in the drop down menu never turns blue yet wifi works. - I haven't tried any other ICS rom but compared to android 2.3 it's sluggish
Guest fedezubo Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 When i switch the phone off, or when i try to reboot it, the system freezes and i've got to do a battery pull [same on MIUI]

Guest Fatty Eglon Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) Hello All First off thanks to Tilal for all the hard work you've put into this Rom. I'm not an Android dev but I work with Linux and Windows so know what a pain things can be when it works for one and not for another. You know I've done exactly the same thing, on the same machine, same setup and software load etc and it's worked one time and not the next. That's just the way it goes sometimes. I did try Coldfusion on my blade, exactly following the new intructions. Sadly had all sorts of issues. When I installed the Gapps using the tilal gapps nothing happened, no setup wizard ...nothing. Other than news and weather, gmail nothing was installed. I tried various other Gapps yet it never installed the market on any of them. I noticed after the install of Tilal's Gapps things became really sluggish within all apps. The home screen was fast. The app draw was chronically slow, just taking a lifetime to load. The browser was extremely slow and wifi, 3g connection and download speed was awful. opening settings, menus etc would cause freeze ups and also fc's. As I said at the outset I did follow implicitly the instructions many times but no joy. I think I'm going to leave it a month as all this flashing and fiddling is causing me to loose time and sleep. Nonetheless thanks again for even doing this for the Blade community. Make sure you don't over tire yourself by doing too much of this and forgetting to get some sunshine and go out with your mates Edited February 25, 2012 by Fatty Eglon
Guest Cata_Simi Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 I have tried now the second build of cold fusion (market, youtube, camera, galery and some other things) i was surprised of the progress you've made, I wouldn't expect such a big step forward frtom previous build Congrats tilal
Guest evilbrain Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 do any of you people experience probs with the music player? For me it can't find tracks, say I have none
Guest sssingletrack Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 I've gone back to gingerbread for now but I will be back when you bring the next update out. Your ROM is great and I could easily use it as a daily ROM. But the browser didn't seem to work very well. Maybe opera or other works but I couldn't be bothered trying.
Guest blindclown Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Hello, I've tried this new development and was very happy with the result. I downgrade want's again to gingerbread because this ROM form ICS is not very practice for the day by day use, but great job from you all. I'll keep the eyes on the development to try new updates that you post. Again, great job!
Guest bladebuddy Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276 Don't know if you have or can implement this into your rom just spotted it on XDA do not no how old the info is but might help with lag sorry if its old news J
Guest the Mitu Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 evilbrain, the same for me. I've tried CM9 music player and it told me there's sth wrong with my SD card. I thought it might be a player related issue, but as you report the same, it's probably not.
Guest epyloxias Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 I don;t know about you guys, but I'll stick on that Rom 'til next release. It's like i bought a new phone. Ok, I know about lagging issues and reboots ( I also had that experience ) but tilal is making great progress. We need to be patient and good stuff won't be so late!!!!!!! Keep up the good work mate!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

Known issue; but that is how the camera works in the first place, look at what Skywave says somewhere on this forum :) 2. I can... Maybe you flashed a wrong GApps ? I also think alot of other ppl can. 3. You mean the one in the statusbar(above with battery etc)? that one never changes color, but you can see if you look very very very closely that there is information sent and that you get information back. 4. Matter of opinion, so no comment . tbh I still really like this rom; just that battery doesn't seem up to date... :/ Edited February 25, 2012 by Felsch
Guest tilal6991 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Found some issues with Link2SD and FCs so won't release today. Working on fixing them as I want a completely stable ROM so I can start working on features like Bluetooth.
Guest antmanfersil Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 (edited) I've tried this mod for 24 hours, and this is my experience: I flashed my firmware (215 mb system) via windows - http://android.modac...ra-via-windows/ A few minutes later the phone booted for the first time and trebuchet crashed, but nothing special, after a minute or so, it launched correctly. Then i installed gapps for ics, and after a while messing with those apps, i realized that most of the problems where related to those apps, except for lack of wi-fi connection wich was caused by the rom itself. The market is slow and lagish, never crashed tough. Internet browsing is super slow, but works with 3g connection. I've downloaded freespace witch reports iNcorrect values for all my space. For example my sd-card is 8gb, 6.4 free because of ext2 partition of 1 gb, but it said my sd-card was 13 gb free and almost 2 gb of ext. Ah! I wished! Performance: Quadrant results, both values at 691 mhz oc (TMN Sapo A5 aka ZTE Libra gen 2 firmware) CyanogenMod 7.1 nightly build 257 - 737 points Coldfusion CM9 - 434 points A huge drop in performance, i was not expecting. Too bad i don't remenber the results of cm9 alpha, to post them here too, but if you guys want, i can make that experience ( sooner rather then later, before going back to cm7 ) Bottom line: I like the way ics is going, some apps are no longer needed, like 3g watchdog, since a similar program is already built into the system. Trebuchet is well designed, and the launcher is gorgeous. It is still far away from the end user, since stability (a few freezes) and performance are not, by a long shot, as good as gingerbread. I will keep track of this rom, since it has much more funcionality options over cm9 alpha. Excelent job from the author, keep up the good work, m8 ! I'm from Portugal, so i reckon my English is not the best, but it's quite understandable, i guess :) EDIT: Used the updated ROM of 23/02/2012 Edited February 26, 2012 by antmanfersil
