- Titanium Backup seems not being able to restore apps properly. It does restore some apps, but for many others it freezes and the phone can even reboot.

Based on CM9, I think that happens if you try and restore apps that the market thinks is incompatible with ics on our phone.

In ICS the API for the syncing was changed - Facebook need to update their app. See http://review.cyanog...m/#change,11339 and http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,11338 for more info.

crappy fb app it's always its fault! :D

ty very much for the info.

hmmmm... so it seems that I got many apps which are incompatible with ICS, even if ICS has been out there for months... is there any way to check whether an app is compatible with ICS?

I keep trying to install blade settings but it says application not installed every time. Anyone else experiencing this and any thoughts on how I can install it?

Right - do this for calibration:

Install ES File Explorer

Give it root permissions in the app settings and mount system partition as RW

Copy the downloaded BladeParts.apk to /system/app

Proximity calibration should now show up as one of your apps .

I think it's a problem with how CM9 on the Blade identifies itself to the market that just hasn't been addressed yet. I have a couple of apps that have had ICS updates that say they aren't compatible.

Juts search for the app in the market app on the phone. It'll either say if it's not compatible or not show up at all in the search.

Tasker and Angel Browser are my affected apps. I've seen both in GB have ICS updates.

The only thing that should come up when you connect to the internet is market - all other gapps can be installed from there.

Sweet ICS project. Very smooth, did what tilal said about calibration, only one little tiny thing. IF it could be possible to turn Wifi icon in blue when connecting. Web browser cinda slow but don't really bothered. Other than that I personally am full!!! Cheers once again Tilal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a really great. The first ICS I've seen to be fast enough to go alongside the smoothness.

For what its worth, my TPT up to 170mb appears to have done nothing and after deleting the videos I seem to have fitted inside 160mb (with all of 3mb to spare!). I checked in root explorer and all the apps in gapps are there so it did fit them all.

Tilal, there's a problem with few apps in Market that use some of the Google Maps capabilities. They can't be found nor installed using Market. I've been talking with Transportoid ( https://market.andro...3BvcnRvaWQiXQ.. ) developer and what he said was that Market doesn't find some necessary maps libs and because of that it doesn't include such apps in search results.

This also happens with MatthewCZ's app - Jizdni rady ( https://market.andro...afra.jizdnirady ).

Any idea what's going on?

Oh, and also - Calculator app doesn't work.

Ah, lovely. Much better than the version of 2 days ago! Lot more stabile. I'm trying this tomorrow, a full day of school. It'll be a heavy test, including bluetooth, wifi and a GBA Emulator. We'll see what it does.

Thank you very much for this excellent update! Keep up the good work!

Many thanks, Tilal...what an amazing improvement over previous version...easily the best ICS ROM to date for the Blade

Please keep up the support...:)

Anyone got an older apk of the Chrome browser that will work with this ROM?

This exact release is what I am running, last message gotten a hour ago, but still... am also using full GApps, seems to be working fine. All the usual apps I use(Twitter, Facebook, Google Reader, Hotmail, Kingsoft Office, Es File Explorer) seem all to be working fine. Battery life and Internet are something I haven;t really tested, tommorow I have school again, so when traveling, Seems like a fine time to test the speed etc.

Well time to sleep, if the phone doesn;t get stuck and wakes me up, then I'm happy :)

Do you mean the latest version? I only tried the one before the latest and it wasn't even coming up in the market on that version

Hello, Im about to put the rom on my phone, but i too would like to know how to format the system. Im in recovery and I only have options to wipe data etc.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks

EDIT: just figured it out: If anyone else has the problem its under "mounts and storage" submenu.

Thank you so much tilal, this is really the best ROM I've ever used on the Blade, and I've used every ROM...except for your MIUI (don't like MIUI).

A few minor thoughts:

- May it be that the scrolling cache is emptied to often? To get the smoother-than-a-Smoothie app drawer you have to go through it once, than it's perfect. If you leave it into an app it seams the cache is deleted and you have to repeat the process to get it smooth. Don't know if it's the scrolling cache, or the cache of trebuchet.

- gallery is still black for me, like the calculator.

- naturally no preview in the camera, but that one should be really hard to fix, just wanted to mention it so nobody thinks this bug is gone.

Except for that, everything is perfect. Really, just perfect!

Fixed from last release (regarding the bugs I encountered):

- gApps install without problems now (used you package both times)

- Charging fixed

- reboots fixed

- performance fixed

- audio routing after you had headsets connected (call bug) fixed

Posted

Excellent ICS ROM! Great job, no lag, no breaks, no reboots, very good! Now just need to be stable functioning of the camera, bluetooth, include the app to calibrate the proximity sensor, etc... I'll wait for the next version to see if they have it running so it can beuse it in day-to-day.

Very good job, I will surely follow!
