Dont see the point of having soft buttons really when the phones got hardware buttons. The screen just get smaller if there must be room for buttons aswell... Looking forward to try this rom when next version is released!

Button savior isn't same. ICS softbuttons look pretty and is more functional and

comfortable than hardware buttons. blade have a

quite big screen. i used ics with softbuttons in Galaxy mini and is realy good.

just asking, does Tilal will provide framework of soft buttons, because I can not recompile it properly

From here "...As much as we’d like to stay ahead of the manufacturers, it may be a tie this time...". As the first ICS updates have been released CM9 might as well in some time.

I didn't think I'd use them, but having used them on sej7278s CM7 I'm reluctant to use any rom without them.

They only use a tiny amount of space on the notification bar which is mostly empty otherwise. How big do you think they are lol

Hi all!

I've just upgraded my ZTE Blade with this new fantastic ROM.

One question though. I can't install Market! I've reinstalled the ROM many times, with gapps, but never managed to make Market app available. Can you help me on this topic?

Thank you all for the great job!

Dude, have you seen ICS soft buttons yet? They're not the same as in Cm7. They are on the bottom of the screen and are twice as tall as the notification bar.

I never understood how people could use those ant sized "buttons" that you are referring to.

They are kinda comfortable, and more importantly, they are silent, which could be useful in some extraordinary cases.

Tilal, you could play a joke on those requesting stuff. Next release to have all phone functions removed, and add soft buttons lol. Maybe then, people would not ask for time frames and features before its fully stable.

Orange San Francisco media player with soft buttons eh.

Not interested in those ones then, does seem bit wasteful.

Really easily tbh, not much smaller than letter keys really.

Only one person asked for them thus far, but sounds like your "joke" would be rather counterproductive and wasteful of his time.

Nothing will stop people asking for time frames tbh. Nor in this thread stop them being unable to partition their phones as in the first post.

I can't use the default android keyboard either because it's keys are too small for me so that kind of explains it.

Then, my friend, the problem is with your fingers. ;) (Just kidding, no offense intended)

Anyways it can be quite difficult for you to handle such a small phone with a touchscreen - how do you manage it?

As for the rom... I still can't use it because I can't seem to install google play (market). Without that I'm stuck and the rom is useless for me. As soon as the next one comes out I'll retry but until then I'm on burstlam's 5.6.1, which has it's problems, too...

I'm really glad that so many of you are working on getting ICS to the Blade ... It's so good to see that there are people like this: doing something for others. Thank you.

What partition size are you using.

tilal6991, as they are running tests to the new version?

Instead of only the partition size I'll tell you the whole story.

My phone came out as gen1 2.1 t-mobile device, it's a hungarian model with originally 256 mb rom.

It was some days later upgraded to 2.2 via official updater, I can't remember if the process made my phone gen2 or I've tpt'd it or used a windows flasher but it was soon gen2.

Later I've repartitioned it to 128 mb (stripped down CM7 ftw :) ) and now back to 220 for ICS. Size does not matter in my case :) The weird thing is that only your version of ICS can't have google apps. (There is one more odd: gmail is incompatible with burstlam's build... that's a wtf my mind can't process) So for now I'm simply waiting, there's a good chance your next build will work fine (I myself am a lucky bastard when it comes to roms - usually everything is working on the first run, so this is a minor difficulty, nothing more).

I tried everything: formatting both system, cache and data for a clean install, trying to upgrade from an older one, etc - nothing worked this time.

Thank you for trying to help but at this moment I don't think it would be more than a waste of your time, for now I'm pleased with my phone (that's an understatement, ICS is awesome! :D ).

Cool story bro :P Just kidding lol. However last serious question. Have you tried targetbsp's version of gapps?

Guest brookergray

@shezar by incompatible you mean the market version? That's google's fault, that app hasn't been updated.

I couldn't install the normal gapps-package, I mean there was no error messages, the apps just didn't appear on the app drawer. I have 200MB system. The mini-gapps luckily installed well.

buddy, here's my suggestion. I dont think you know what you are doing, so hopefully this should help you learn a bit.

1. install Mr.pigfish and find out if you have a GEN1 or Gen2 device. think it should be Gen 2 but make sure

2. Use either of these threads to install a Gingerbread ROM on your device () or ()

3. Once above is working fine, you should have a rooted phone. Open terminal and see what your partition sizes are (type df)

4. If your system partition is less than 200MB, do some searching on this forum and understand how to repartition your memory (I am not serving up links to everything)

5. Once that is done, you will have a reasonably good idea of what you are doing and will be ready to try ColdFusion.

Another thread to have to hand is

Ive got a gen2 Blade, no need to make the partition any bigger then, right?

No, no need at all. You can flash this ROM and then post a "Help Me.....stuck at Green Man, wont boot up" message on this forum again asking why your Blade wont boot up.

Why cant you guys read atleast the first post on this thread?
