[ICS] [CM9] [4.0.4] ColdFusionX for the ZTE Blade [ROM] [UPDATED - 28/06]

Too unstable for me. Lots of force closes and slow responses from applications. FC's from the following apps:

- messaging

- gallery

- facebook

- sms backup and restore

- setcpu

- camera

- google maps

Calculator worked for me and bluetooth.

After installing google maps had a reboot. I don't think that its possible to isolate whether or not a particular app is the problem since there are so many apps that seem to freeze. A fast Trebuchet launcher is not everything, lovely and smooth but the hardware Open GL accleration seems to have the side effect of reducing the colour bit depth.

Back to Swedish Snow and ADW via tpt/nandroid. Stable, good performance, working camera (even if the camera now works in this rom the pics are very low quality) and good battery life.

Good luck with the next release but I have a feeling that stability is a few months away on ICS.

For me 3d games games like nfs, dead space are laggy, on gingerbread was ok. But 2d games like cut the rope works well And wifi work weird, wifi icon disappearing every few minutes and i'm disconnected for few sec.

I played Anomaly HD, Edge extended and the new angry birds. Didn't see any big performance hit compared to gb. I think it depends on the types of games you're playing.

To connect to a wifi network after rebooting i have to forget the network and re-enter password otherwise it says network not in range, anyone else experiencing this or know a fix?

After flashing the new version 22/3 on top of 16/3 (without wiping) everything works great and indeed a lot smoother!

Only problem I have now is that some apps don't show up anymore and if I want to install them from Play it says incompatible.

for example: Whatsapp, Winamp

I reflashed the mini gapps but that didn't help.

Any idea how this is possible and how to solve it?

I did as you but cleared cache and dalvik and formated system-partition first.

Restarted phone waited some minutes and rebooted to CWM to install mini gapps.

Everything works fine for me.

Do you have more than 160mb partition? It's been mentioned that the new bootanimation, whilst awesome, actually pushes the rom (after deleting videos) + mini gapps over 160mb.

So to fit it in 160 you'd actually have to delete videos and bootanimation from coldfusion to fully fit the gapps in. I hadn't noticed this because I forgot my system size was actually 165... oops!

Fantastic work to get the camera preview working - I thought we'd be waiting months for that!

This has been my daily ROM since the first version - I almost reverted back to CM7 because the v1 was a bit too unstable but it's perfectly usable for me now.

One question: In what sense in panorama mode "partially working"? It causes a FC for me whenever I try to enable it.

• gallery fc sometimes
• BT is working
• I had no fc problems with apps yet
• ROM is very smooth and responsive (I am using a different launcher though)
• Calculator works for me (rotating screen trick)
• 2D games are ok (didnt notice any improvements compared to GB)
• Wi-Fi bar is working as it should

Great job tilal. Looking forward to the next release.

You'd need to provide a logcat for help with any crashes.

Under what conditions does it crash for you? I have Poweramp myself.

i've got CM7 now but:

PowerAMP Lockscreen and switching songs with +/- buttons didn't work for me.

switching songs/screens and scrolling list of songs were slow.

You mean CM9?

You haven't checked settings have you?

Poweranp settings - lockscreen - enable ics lockscreen

And

System settings - sound - volume rocker music controls (the one on the bottom)

My clock on status bar freezed after few hours. But on lock screen it showing time properly, alarm also work properly and after every reboot I've got gapps's FC, but everything works good

Right. I've decided that I'm going to release a new non opengl build in a few days. This will not have colour banding and will be more stable than the opengl build but is also slower in general.

I did not had the 16/03 version before after i installed the 21/03 updated version.

BT is not working anymore after the first reboot.

Calculator is not working, screentrick didnt fix it also, i only am getting a green screen (portrait).

When i reboot i must disconnect and connect the SD card first in system settings before i can use the Gallery.

Setting a background image is not working because i am getting a FC at the cutwallpaper screen.

But overall, this version (21/03) is a miracle <3 Its really fast (holding home and closing apps is extremely smooth) and most things just works.

Market and Facebook app are smoother and faster too then in GB, loading time is very much reduced.

Tilal, youre the greatest so far :P

On my phone:

If i had Bluetooth on: Airplane Mode: Works

After the test, i turned off the Bluetooth and give it another try on the Airplane Mode, and it worked flawlessly.

So i reboot my phone and without changing the Bluetooth status, i tried to turn on the Airplane Mode and it crashed.

So i don't know nothing about android developing, but maybe, when i change the Bluetooth status it writes something in a flag (or something like that) and if i don't the flag simply doesn't exist or the value is NULL and so when i start the airplane mode is not ready to handle it.

Maybe booting the system with this "flag" with a default value.

I may be saying something with no sense, but the fact is that Airplane Mode works with Bluetooth ON/OFF if you at least changed the BT mode once, if you don't the Airplane Mode crashes.
