Guest Loren82 Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Target, I have followed the thread in which the instructions are made by Sej, had a problem that told me that my version of the SDK was 1.6.23 and told me to install "1.6." as well as puts, compiling CM7 does not give me any error, but now that it was solved in the last step, when everything seems to compile fine until a strip (error 1) and continues with what appears to some errors missing some translations, there is something between the steps of Sej I might be leaving?.
Guest Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 CM weather wakes my devices every hour, which is fine during the day, but useless overnight.. I don't imagine they plan a "disable updates from X to Y" feature right? :P Just change the settings to manual update?
Guest andr0idbeliev3r Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Assuming you're not already using Linux... Setup Ubuntu 64 bit in a VM. I think you need 35gb disk space and 4gb ram for the VM. Install the build packages (except java JDK) as detailed here: http://wiki.cyanogen...ogenMod_(Linux) Install java JDK as shown here: http://source.androi...itializing.html Then download source and compile as shown here: http://www.modaco.co...-cm9-for-blade/ Cool nice instruccions but i also mean like a new driver or lib is out to armv6 processors and know things to be able to make some changes in order to work on my ROM. Guest shmizan Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Just change the settings to manual update? but I want it to be automatic. every hour. just not over night. wouldn't that make sense?
Guest Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Ok :) Is it ok to run this on 256MB ram? I've heard that 512MB is needed for ICS thats why am asking.. btw I don't have time to read the entire thread(344 pages is too much) :D Found these using the search feature. There should be more, hope it helps :D One thing is certain about this rom: is the best battery charge life, on average 40% better than another CM7, for me. The rest in testing, for now no reboot or crash. Telephony, sms and wi-fi is OK, very smooth, the best ICS for Blade, for me, of course. Thanks tilal6991!!! Config.: Brazilian Blade (V880 256MB RAM) CPU OC: 748Mhz zRam: 28% Allowed purging of assets no surface dithering Allowed 16bit transparency. I finally made this ROM works on my Blade (Brazilian - Chinese) with 256Mb!!! And the solution its quite simple hehehe Just have a swap partition on SD and voilá ... it simply works! I've just a little bit of lag after install Google+, Dropbox and Facebook. But nothing serious. And about the camera fix, thanks tilal6991, you are the best!!!
Guest Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 but I want it to be automatic. every hour. just not over night. wouldn't that make sense? Yes, but manual update takes 2 secs, you just have to touch it and it updates.

I think he wants to know about ROM development. Cool nice instruccions but i also mean like a new driver or lib is out to armv6 processors and know things to be able to make some changes in order to work on my ROM. I think somebody who actually develops a ROM will be able to answer this better, but for starters you must be knowing JAVA (and C) atleast so much that you can understand the source code and make your changes to it. Once you know the language, you can read the documentation by Google, it is well written, and will help you understand APPs and the Android itself. More you read, more you know. :) Good Luck! :)
Guest lohikko Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, could anyone who has succesfully installed S2E make a simple guide on how to install it (just like the one in the first page, the order of flashing and so)? Because i'm really going mad, there's no way I can get it working :S Edited June 9, 2012 by lohikko

Guest targetbsp Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Cool nice instruccions but i also mean like a new driver or lib is out to armv6 processors and know things to be able to make some changes in order to work on my ROM. That's a very broad question. Every change you make is going to need dealt with on a case by case basis. The GPU libs are in cm9/vendor/zte/blade/proprietary/lib/egl. if you;re just replacing files with others, the easiest way is just to find the current ones and replace them in that place. And if you're wanting to change the code... as ufizo says. Can;t help there, my development is all in Windows and depsite meaning to, I haven;t got around to Droid stuff yet. Guest targetbsp Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 So Linaro has been released, it reportedly speeds up any Android ROM by some 30%. Are there any plans on using that for ZTE Blade ROMs in the future? It's mentioned a few posts back including a link to all the unmerged changes for CM9. I've compiled a version with them in that I'm uploading right now but I won't get to test it for another couple of hours as i'm a bit busy this evening. I'll post the link in... 8 minutes if anyone else wants to guinea pig it. Otherwise I will by late evening.

Guest targetbsp Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Damnit. You know what? I didn't delete out which as the purpose is to recompile everything with different compiler flags wasn't very clever. It certainly recompiled a lot of it because it's a long time since I last did it and there have been a lot of changes and it took ages. But there's likely still room for improvement over the one I linked above. I will go again. This will take a long time though (compiling in a VM after wiping out) Still, 20-odd people have downloaded it. Interested to hear if it made any difference? [edit] And I know I said I'm away... I'm away intermittently. :D And have Cm7 on atm so can't easily chuck on Cm9 for quick tests. Edited June 9, 2012 by targetbsp

Guest mitchde Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 "Still, 20-odd people have downloaded it. Interested to hear if it made any difference?" I dl this and cant see any bad working. What can be not as good as planned (compared to my last 29. Mai CFX build)
Guest targetbsp Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 "Still, 20-odd people have downloaded it. Interested to hear if it made any difference?" I dl this and cant see any bad working. What can be not as good as planned (compared to my last 29. Mai CFX build) It's meant to be faster as per this: http://www.modaco.com/topic/351670-ics-cm9-404-coldfusionx-for-the-zte-blade-rom-updated-3105/page__st__6880#entry1968606 But it probably isn't. Or at least not as fast as it could be. Because I forgot a step. There shouldn't be anything actually wrong with it. Just not as good as was aiming for.
Guest andr0idbeliev3r Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Tilal are you going to release the stock ICS? Or can i ask the portuguese dev to do it? Edited June 9, 2012 by andr0idbeliev3r
Guest jeddy1 Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Tilal are you going to release the stock ICS? Or can i ask the portuguese dev to do it? ask him !
Guest targetbsp Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) I will go again. This *might* be the MD5 for it: c3e056f81e9869da4a05c25f760e03af :D Edited June 11, 2012 by targetbsp
Guest Pondlife Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Tilal are you going to release the stock ICS? Or can i ask the portuguese dev to do it? You do realise it's going to have the same minor problems as this one but just with less configuration possibilities and few less apps?
Guest Nahov Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Done now: http://www.mediafire...yowhnnhrbl6kahg 0c6789e8bf3b274c36c6ce1fc6f40592 Installing... Booted. Really snappy! Thank you! :) Edited June 9, 2012 by Nahov
Guest shatzy Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 tilal i' d like to make a personal request, don' t know if its possible but , can you manage to implement one option to use wifi before we conect to gapps? for example, when i install the rom, there's a option to restore phone, but it consumes trafic, so if we could turn on wifi before it conects it would be great xD. thanks
