Oh yeah.. I forgot to say...

Boot your current rom. Edit your /system/build.prop file changing line with root explorer :

ro.build.product=liquid
to
ro.build.product=salsa

save and reboot in recovery. It should work now

It's already on "salsa", just checked...

beta 2 mobile Data not working

Same here , also my facebook no longer syncs. It wont let me add the account under the accounts and sync menu.

Hopefully both simple fixes.

I also noticed there are no APN's listed for my carrier either , probably not helping the mobile data problem.

Try to reboot normally and apn appears (at least in CM based roms for S2).

Seems to be a known issue with facebook sync and new ics builds.

There is always need of 256 swap on the liquid A1? I have micro sd class 2 and I fear that ics is too slow. Should I buy a sd class 10? Thanks

APN fix did not work, but adding the APN manually did. This beta so far seems much more stable! Great work!

Sorry for my bad english.

I have got an A1.

For new installation i used:

1-CWM_Recovery_Salsa

2-Advanced>Partition SD Card for (256mb swap and 512mb Ext)

3-Wipe data/factory reset

4-wipe cache partition

5-CM9 beta2

6-CM9 a1 patch

7-gapps ics 20120317

It's ok?

my phone crashes more than before (liquid E)

how i updated:

first CWM

wipe like i should have

Beta1

Gapps

CameraFix

second CWM

wipe dalvik cache + cache

CM_a1_patch (was the online link available)

wipe dalvik cache + cache

Beta2

gapps (because google play, youtube etc crashed on startup)

any ideas of how to fix these random crashes, except wiping device fully and starting over?

you don't need a1_patch you have a liquid E :P

@ALL

I will upload a bugfixed version of beta2 because this one is a mess, maybe this night.. Sorry :)

Sorry, but my Acer Liquid A1 is too slow with this beta2.. beta1 is mooore faster.

I'm installed like Ellenico

1-CWM_Recovery_Salsa

2-Advanced>Partition SD Card for (256mb swap and 1024mb Ext)

3-Wipe data/factory reset

4-wipe cache partition

5-CM9 beta2

6-CM9 a1 patch

7-gapps ics 20120317

What i'm doing wrong?

Maybe i need to enable swap on sd? And how to enable or disable it? In system monitor i have only 35mb free ram.

My sdcard is 2gb and 2 class, maybe need 10 class?

I have a liquidE with beta2. Can I use the ext partition to install applications? Titanium not find it. I have no more space for applications.

@MihaelSamara

Sorry for my bad english :rolleyes:

I have got a microsd 10 class 8GB. In this moment Liquid is very fast and stable.

Swap is default activate, because if you open terminal and you write "free", you see memory and swap used. ;)

So, for me, microsd 10 class is necessary for liquid A1.

So, now if i insert new 10 class sdcard into my liquid, should i reinstall rom? or before turn on i will load to cwm and create swap on my new sdcard?

Create swap ;) you don“t need to reinstall
