Guest Fossil52
Perhaps I'm missing a trick with the menus. Maybe I'm looking for something that is a waste of time, but... I have fat old fingers and struggle to hit the correct keys, even when in "landscape" mode, so I thought I'd try working with a "phone style" keyboard in predictive mode (you can tell I haven't been using a smart phone for very lng, can't you?). I'm 100% certain that the keyboard from original 2.3.4 ROM in the OMC could be changed to a couple of differing styles (one of my daughters managed to get her OMC into a different mode in the early days), but I can't find any options with Atomic 3E. Any ideas ? (I've looked in the marketplace and not found what I'm looking for)
Guest Michaelwave
Rather than getting a phone style keyboard, I recommend Swype keyboard, you type words by swiping, perfect for fat fingers! Check it out in action on youtube

Guest Fossil52
Im actually a big fan of go keyboard it goes very well with the atomic theme, and its from the same makers as the launcher :) Thanks for the suggestion. The go keyboard is now on my OMC, and first impressions are very encouraging.... It even has the "phone style" option I was looking for, and that appears to be quicker in use (for me) than the default. I'm not sure if I need all the haptic do-dah , but I'm sure I'll find the menu options to turn it off eventually. Edit: gets better - auto changes from numeric style in portrait to full keyboard in landscape on turning the OMC 90 degrees Further Edit: works nicely but battery life taken a dive - 60% capacity gone overnight, instead of the usual around 1% per hour at rest. un-installed. Will see if OMC gets back to "normal" Shame. Edited March 12, 2012 by Fossil52
