Guest tillaz Posted March 23, 2012 Report Posted March 23, 2012 @tillaz, where did you find styles.xml in framework-res.apk? I couldn't find it unfortunately.. its in res / values you need to decompile first
Guest inox_od Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 (edited) its in res / values you need to decompile first ok, I've decompiled it with apktool and replaced xml file and compiled it again. How can I replace framework-res.apk in my phone? And do I need to sign apk? UPD: I've made a diff on these two styles.xml and saw that they differ only on these lines: as you can see there is no mention of font color.. Edited March 24, 2012 by inox_od
Guest Redstarr1 Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 @H3ROS I noticed the cropping as well in Gmail yesterday. I don't really use Gmail, so that's why I didn't notice it. As long as the SMS-notification isn't cropped I'm happy :-)
Guest unomesmo Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Thanks for your answer. I tried yesterday. In Spanish (Spain) mine, and Spanish (USA) same bug. Could it be fixed in R14?? Thanks for your effort and dedication with us

There's actually a lot in this file to do with text color: its where most of the code theming is done

Guest inox_od Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 @tillaz, what TPT would you recommend for installing R8, this - 200MB system, 2MB cache, 238MB data or this - 150MB system, 2MB cache, 288MB data? And can I restore all of my data and system after applying new TPT via CWM restore?

And can I restore all of my data and system after applying new TPT via CWM restore? If the rom can be squeezed into TPT 150/2/288, more space for your apps will remain. So whenever you can use 150/2/288 you should use it!!! Just be sure that the system partition has enough space for you rom!!!

So I'll have to use 200/2/238 TPT...

Guest maximalcho Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 How can i add simtool kit ?Sometimes I use it.
Guest tillaz Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 using "df" in terminal I saw that /system consumes 151M. So I'll have to use 200/2/238 TPT... R13 is 147mb after install, this info can be found on first page... unless you are adding and removing stuff before flashing it should not say 151mb This was tested on 150mb system 2mb cache and all was working fine Also you can extract the rom to a file on your computer to check the install size be for flashing it

Guest pablo_el_diablo Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) Atomicmod is brilliant, I've intalled R13 just last night. Only niggle for now is gps, when driving and using dailyroads voyager dashcam it's loosing gps connection quite often, sometimes freezing eg. displaying 70mph when slowing down, 10mph when completely stopped or losing connection completely, I will try Sygic sat nav later to see if it's software related thing. Thanks for now. PS. when GPS is turned on, it's icon is not shown in notification bar. Edited March 26, 2012 by pablo_el_diablo
Guest domenico lamberti Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 hey guys, my dad is running Atomic 2.5 , could i update from 2.5 straight to this? or do i have to do a nandroid backup wipe the usual suspects and install this fresh, my dad doesnt really know android like i do despite being a programmer, and it would annoy him if he were to lose all his apps and data
