hey guys, my dad is running Atomic 2.5 , could i update from 2.5 straight to this? or do i have to do a nandroid backup wipe the usual suspects and install this fresh, my dad doesnt really know android like i do despite being a programmer, and it would annoy him if he were to lose all his apps and data

He's going to lose all his apps and data unfortunately, but you don't have to do the wipes as they're built into the update script.

Unless you back apps and data up, obviously

remove the .txt from the end of the file, so is named gps.conf

add this to system / etc then reboot

Hmm. It seems I can no longer take screenshots via the power button, when I do I see this:

"Error: Unable to save screenshot: mBitmap = null"

followed by:

"Screenshot is saved at null"

It's not life and death, but has anyone got any suggestions please?

Tnanks for gps fix, will apply in a minute. My other thought is that charging takes more than twice as long as with R10, I plugged wall charger around 6pm and now at 10.30 it is just 75%, before it was taking just around 2 hours to fully charge.

I seem to not be able to install this kernel and I also don't get the device to work via usb in the computer, even though it shows on device manager, I don't see the mass storage popup on the phone neither on windows.

This ROM is working like a charm on my Skate, it's fast and has great functionality.

Is there any reason for "Debug USB" not working?

I rebooted the phone, tried it on different USB ports and nothing.

With the stock ROM it was working, and I also tried it with CM9 yesterday and had no problems

Any help is appreciated.

USB storage is working fine for me.

I deactivated/activated Debug UBS from development settings but no luck :(

When I run "adb devices" on the command line (on the same machine where it already worked with another ROM), the list comes out empty.

Another thing I noticed, is that the USB Debugging Icon doesn't appear on the notifications.

R13 is 147mb after install, this info can be found on first page... unless you are adding and removing stuff before flashing it should not say 151mb

This was tested on 150mb system 2mb cache and all was working fine

Also you can extract the rom to a file on your computer to check the install size be for flashing it

It's because there is a script that redirect your cache partition to Ram(max 64MB) so that you can download apps that larger than 2MB via market

First of all thanks to Tillaz for cocking an awesome ROM.

@Possible bug:

When use the keyboard included on R13 and press the key to change between leters to numbers, sometimes it doesn't change. I've tested and it happens frequently.

Is there any possibility to solve the problem?

I recently started using the power control app in Atomic. But ever since my phone reboots every morning (I made it shut off data connection at night), that anything to do with the power control?

EDIT: I was really tired so my post wasn't very clear :P. So what's happening is: I put a command in the timer of the Power Control settings (in AtomicMOD Settings) to turn off the data connection between 0 and 7 am. At 7 am, instead of turning on the data connection, my phone just reboots. Not really what I intended. I removed the command now, I can live without, but wondering if that's a bug..

I have a similar problem with GO Power Master. I use the "switch mode by time" function to set the phone to "Long Standby" at night to save the battery and back into "My Mode" at 7.30 in the morning for the day. This worked fine on Atomic R10 - but in R13 the phone does not wake up in the morning. It is completely frozen and the only way I can wake it up is to remove the battery and reboot. I should add that GO Power Master has also been updated in the last few days- so I can't rule out there is a bug in the new version.

Any ideas, please?

I have noticed the same problems with Juice defender... I used it on other phones, and it really extends battery life a lot (I use a lot Wifi and data, and this apps are turning these tings of based on various settings...)

But on Atomic my phone crashes a lot... think it has something to do with the controls for data/wifi stuff...

Is possibly a windows problem (i have xp). At first, I had to go trough a lot of pain to get the Medion to be recognized initially without any modding/rooting. The only thing that worked for me was to edit the android_winusb.inf file with the correct device ID, which installs the drivers for medion USB. Obviously, after changing to Atomic mod, the phone has become another ID defined model yet again, and is not recognized. What worked? simply switch over to usb mass storage, go trough some files on xp from your sd on your slate, and eject the SD card (in windows meaning unmount/disconnect) and re-usb debugging.

AT that time it started to install the necessary usb drivers.

It might be of some /any influence that i have tried in the past all possible USB drivers and tried to install them before (as i had problems with the medion getting connected in debug mode) Maybe some essential info / dll was installed during one of these previous installs...

I installed the atomic mod last version R=13 and here are my findings and bug report:

1:

Some how, it does not want to play flash files on Internet. i tried to update, but i do not even receive the possibility to install flash player.

After a long search, on the adobe website, it says: phone is not compatible with adobe flash??? serioes issue that I would like to see solved.

2:It seems to take way longer to charge the phone as it was before. instead of 1 or to hours max, it now takes way longer. Has there been a change in power (charging) management? How can I get back at the initial charging mode?

Question 3:

I now installed from scrap/new install atomic mod all the apps I kinda like and need. Is there a way to BU all these apps, so that if I change the mod (for experimental purposes of coarse ;-) I can quickly install with one commando all the apps in a new mod? With what program shoudl i poceed?

Question 4:

I was kinda hoping to heave a new dialer with this mod as the original one does not let me change anything, even remain lights on for example.

Is there a way to install a better dialer (wich remains illuminated during a call) and on which we can program a drop call button, so that I know for sure the connection is stopped? Now i must fidle with the volume to get the light on, wait and then only be able to cancel the call, or to put on speaker or whatever...
