Guest NinjehKitteh Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 TPT Instructions: After downloading, check the md5sum. Unzip the file to the root of your sdcard. You should end up with a folder called "image" on the root of your sdcard with a image.bin file and a nandroid.md5 file inside it. Check the md5sum of the image.bin file matches the one written in the nandroid.md5 file. Turn your phone off and take the battery out. Put the battery back in and power on holding the vol+ and menu buttons (probably, if this doesn't work then you can use the system update option from the settings menu in your rom). You should see green text appear on the screen, then once its finished you should boot into Clockwork recovery. Flash your chosen rom and reboot. I don't get md5sums :/ What are they? -Ninjeh.
Guest Dazzozo Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 I have platform tools, and when I look in C:\Program Files\AndroidSDK\platform-tools\ there is fastboot.exe :/ -Ninjeh. Go to platform-tools, then. "cd" your way through folders to platform-tools and fastboot from there if it really comes to it.
Guest Dazzozo Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 I don't get md5sums :/ What are they? -Ninjeh. They are a hash of the original file that can be used to ensure consistency after download.
Guest irishpancake Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 how odd, i really thought that worked for vivacity users, you know you could always just use the TPT helper app on the market When I flashed that Amphoras TPT for Recovery.....on TMV Could not use Home Capacitive Button..... alternative method was.. Setrings/about phone/System updates/ Storage Card updates/... tap OK!!!! Not sure if this is available with CM9?? Also, afaik....these are designed for Stock Partition!!!!
Guest NinjehKitteh Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 They are a hash of the original file that can be used to ensure consistency after download. Well in /image/nandroid.md5 I get this a57faab87fee8d28611f5314108eca97 *image.bin What other md5sum should I be looking for? -Ninjeh.

What other md5sum do you want? You need some kind of program to generate a MD5 hash of the file on your end and compare it with the one in nandroid.md5.

That was how I flashed the original but there is no option for that any more :/ -Ninjeh.

I'll install your CM7 works for Gingerbread and use the update via SD in the menu. I have them lying around somewhere. -Ninjeh.

Guest irishpancake Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Use AFV from Market/Play..... make sure you check those md5's... !!!
Guest Dazzozo Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 just flashed and tested camera, it hangs when I take photo, preview is ok. keep it up dazz cant thank you enough! Yeah it's pretty much unusable as a camera. That's known and expected. We literally just got the hardware working.

Change setting to 3 Mp Edit: Appeared to work @ 3Mp - I got a photo but preview now hangs again / can't connect. Re-boot didn't fix either Edited May 1, 2012 by Titas

Guest Dazzozo Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Well you've come a long way from having nearly nothing working :D At least you can see things through it :P -Ninjeh. We're synchronised with all the other ZTE devices at the moment with very few Crescent-specific issues left.

Guest NinjehKitteh Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Oh Man......I'll tell raverrrrrr!!! You really should try....for completeness...... Make sure you have Stock Partitions too!! I'll give it a try soon, I've flashed so many things over these past few days I'm surprised that hasn't slipped in :P -Ninjeh.
Guest NinjehKitteh Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 We're synchronised with all the other ZTE devices at the moment with very few Crescent-specific issues left. I had another issue earlier when I installed the themes pack from many many pages ago, I couldn't turn on Bluetooth. Bearing that in mind, I usually have to turn my phone off to get Bluetooth working :/ -Ninjeh.

I'll end up investigating that tomorrow no doubt.
Guest gabriwinter Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Yeah it's pretty much unusable as a camera. That's known and expected. We literally just got the hardware working. I see, well I'm glad to see you are making progress :D
