Heads up,

Blue box Security scanner got updated to v1.4, and it seems to deliver the verdict that it is unpatched against the second exploit related to the Masterkey exploit. (I suspect something got borked there!?!) v1.3 of said app gave the verdict of "Patched"

It's good to know that you have not completely deserted the most excellent ROM,

As this is a clean rom you are free to do your own customisation.

There are some good power widgets in the Google App store.

I prefer individual widgets for each task but here are a some you might like....

This is not a problem that has been reported before and this ROM has now been around for a while.

It's likely to be a network issue.

Have you checked that your APN settings are correct for your network supplier and phone?

Most networks have more than one set up offering different connection options.

You will need to check with your provider to find the options that are available.

To check and change the APN....

Menu >> Settings >> Wireless & Networks >> Mobile network >> Access Point names

Change the "default" or touch the default "enabled" APN to view and edit the settings.

 zte v967 s..... I've installed recovery on the phone But then the phone does not read SIM cards...And the sim manegement is disabled on setting...and the IMEI 

invalid...I installed the different ROM and recovery but Did not get any results.plz help me

I have just one problem. Everything installed okay but for some reason I cannot get the GPS to work. The option is there and I can switch it on but nothing happens. Has anyone else had similar issues?

Hi.

We had discussions on gps issues over a year ago - isn't it hell trying to read your way through nearly 600 posts.

 

Here is a summary of that....

 

 

GPS: I've found that it will toggle on/off only once after each reboot.

 

Starting and stopping the apps “Google maps”, “My tracks” and “Compass” and they will happily toggle on and off the GPS as needed, and leaving the GPS set to “on” in settings does not drain the battery at all!

 

My conclusion is that in this ROM at least (I have not tried others yet) GPS will switch “on” only on demand so there is no need to use settings or a “power” widget to switch it “off” – if I do GPS stop working!

 

This works for me.

Use setting turn ON GPS.

Reboot your phone.

Do NOT use settings or any widget to turn GPS ON or OFF

Allow the apps to automatically turn GPS on/off as required.

This way GPS is only turned on as it is required -leaving the GPS ON in settings will NOT drain your battery!

 

I hope that cures your problem.

Thank you so much for the answer. It is actually my brothers phone and he insists on turning everything off using toggles when not in use. Myself i just leave everything on all the time. So i have assured him it wont waste his battery and this has fixed the issue :)

s2e is only exclusive to cyanogenmod CM, use mount2sd instead.

If there's any further security issues, the most I can do, is incorporate fixes as soon as word gets out,
