Guest CurtisAndroidSF2 Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 Hey guys, I have FnC installed on my SF2 and I want to unlock my phone, am I right in thinking that I could just unlock my phone straight away without restoring back to stock and then restore my backup in Clockwork and everything will be fine and dandy? Thanks

Thanks As far as I'm aware you only need FTM recovery.
Guest AmbushReality Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 I thought because youve installed a rom, it would already be unlocked?
Guest CurtisAndroidSF2 Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 So I'd have to flash back to a stock rom in order to lose Clockwork then unlock, flash CWM and then restore my backup? Thanks for the quick replies.
Guest CurtisAndroidSF2 Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) Unfortunately not, I tried putting my 'Three' sim card in and it asks for an unlock code! Oh and you're an Enter Shikari fan, I love you already, that is all. Edited April 19, 2012 by CurtisAndroidSF2

Guest CurtisAndroidSF2 Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 Thanks, I'll do it tomorrow. So basically; I need to restore back to stock rom in order to get FTM mode, follow the instructions then use ADB to flash Clockwork then I can restore my FNC backup and I'm sorted? Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I don't mess up- rather safe than sorry! Also so I don't have to make a new thread have you got any idea on which PAYG network can offer unlimited texts and at least 500mb internet for £10 a month? Thanks again, looking forward to changing networks, especially after Orange raising their top-up extras prices.

Two guides I found helpful for the unlocking procedure: http://www.getandroidfree.com/sim-unlock/updated-unlock-your-t-mobile-vivacity-for-free/ http://sanfranciscoandroid.co.uk/android/unlock-orange-san-francisco-ii/how-to-unlock-the-orange-san-francisco-ii-for-free/ worth while taking a little time over it, can be tricky...... I used the first one, and got unlocked OK, but there was a little hiccup when the qcn file did not restore, despite my carfulness, but there is a failsafe backup method in the guide, so make sure you read carefully, and follow all links!!! Also, use a separate folder on your desktop for all downloads, maybe called cos it is easy to lose track of everything!!! Best of luck!!!
Guest AmbushReality Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 I just thought root=unlocked because mines unlocked xD apparently not :')
