Can't use phone on 02?

I unlocked my San Fran II this morning and wanted to use my 02 sim card in it. I called 02 to get the internet settings for my phone but they said my phone wasn't supported with their network.

Is anyone else here using an 02 sim card in their phone?

Well ive used An O2 sim and a Giffgaff sim in mine. Did you unlock it using the guide from http://sanfranciscoandroid.co.uk/ ? The unlocking one not the ClockWorkMod one.

Yes, it is fully unlocked mate. I can make calls and send text messages, just can't use the internet/MMS Services.

Would be nice to know if anyone else here is on 02 and is using Internet/MMS.

I would hazard a guess that this just means O2 do not sell this model, therefore no "support".....but what an attitude from some idiot on their call centre.....:(

If I was in UK I would switch to GiffGaff on this basis alone!!!!

You just need to set up O2 APN settings in settings/wireless & networks/mobile networks/APN settings.....

Someone here will post the settings for O2???

Giifgaff is pretty awesome. Works perfectly and i didnt even have to mess with any settings!

Press 'Menu' and select 'Save'.

Restart phone and switch on mobile internet.

its my opinion that the OP was fobbed off by a know-nothing CSR....

who obviously did not really care about "customer care"....

the OP is his/her customer.....

and deserved a better response than he got...

so is being charitable in his response to this non-customer service.....IMHO :D

I got my SFII on December 23rd 2011, unlocked same day and put my 02 card in. Set it on auto settings and had no problems. But I rarely use data. every time I switched ROMS though they charge me £1 for the data til midnight. Til I started taking out the sim card while I reboot and turn it off, I always use WiFi. Not tried MMS over Data yet.....
