Guest Davidoff59 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 its designed by a large search provider also.
Guest fraxos Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) Actually it is not. The search provider you are referring to I assume is Baidu, whilst this phone is made by a small electronics reseller, Beidu... Edited August 4, 2012 by fraxos
Guest tillaz Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 another recant review saying it has 1gb ram (1st august) http://www.theinquir...-grand-x-review sim free £189 ????? another saying its sim free at this price http://www.pcpro.co....228/zte-grand-x EDIT: wow are they crazy (phones4u) http://www.phones4u....?Itemkey=615440 they want £269.95 sim free... are they stupid.... massive fail for zte lol, no one will pay that price... all these below are dual core, cheaper & from well known brands http://www.expansys.com/lg-optimus-2x-eu-plug+uk-adapter-225776/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=base&ito=1701 http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=dual+core+sim+free&hl=en&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&biw=1366&bih=643&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=13953235887161998942&sa=X&ei=dSohUMu8JsOU0QXduIGQBA&ved=0CH0Q8wIwAzgK http://www.simplyelectronics.net/mainproduct.php?pid=20409 http://www.kingofgadgets.co.uk/products/sony-xperia-u-sim-free-unlocked-mobile-phone-black.html http://www.gummobile.com/phones/LG_Prada_3.0_Sim_Free.aspx http://www.unlocked-mobiles.com/sim-free-mobile-phones/lg-optimus-l7-sim-free-p-84070.html
Guest LucasRobert Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) While we talk about it looking similar to the Nexus S/Galaxy; I stumbled across THIS phone from some unknown Chinese manufacturer, they seem ever so slightly similar looking... (Newman N1, has a 4.3" QHD display too) Edited August 7, 2012 by LucasRobert

(Newman N1, has a 4.3" QHD display too) $189.99 or £121.50 http://www.chinastor...ips-screen.html video [media=] there's more alike here http://www.chinastore-online.com/android-phone.html
Guest hecatae Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 $189.99 or £121.50 http://www.chinastor...ips-screen.html you found the kernel source for this?
Guest tillaz Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 you found the kernel source for this? best to email the manufacture about that, looks ok for the price though
Guest LucasRobert Posted August 8, 2012 Report Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) The only thing I have a concern over is the fact they say it's dual core, I SWEAR the A9 isn't, or isn't meant to be.(EDIT: My bad, the Tegra 2 is based on it) Nice to have 1GB of RAM, 1700mAh battery and and IPS display though Edited August 8, 2012 by LucasRobert
Guest Davidoff59 Posted August 8, 2012 Report Posted August 8, 2012 Now i know why there is conflicting specs in reviews. The spec sheets that Zte UK are sending out to phone reviewers state the same spec as thy Chinese version so 1 gig ram and 1. 2ghz clock speed with 1080p recording. No idea what Zte are playing at but could they be selling 2 different specced phones ?

No idea what Zte are playing at but could they be selling 2 different specced phones ? even with the higher specs its still not worth £269.99... i would forget about this unless it dose appear for £189.99 like first announced... you can get a good dual core for £200 sim free, if you look around the net.. even as cheap as £120 if you look at the Chinese phones (have no idea how well they actually perform though)
Guest tillaz Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 while we are taking about Chinese alternatives this looks really good 960x540 display 4.5 inch hdmi port dual core 1ghz 8.0mp rear camera 3.0mp frot camera 1GB RAM 2050mAh battery (masive battery) $199.99 or £128.98 http://www.chinastor...hd-screen.html# video
Guest sui785 Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 I'm looking for an upgrade as well(have the ZTE Skate atm), but I'm not so sure about the Chinese phones(they all have MTK processors and they aren't famous).

Guest LucasRobert Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) Only one way to find out I guess, I'd really LIKE to think I can get a Dual Core Android for under £115, cheaper than my Skate (which I also have at the moment), but I'm not sure if it's too good to be true. im tempted to get the phone above for £130 just to have a look at it annd see how they actually perform So am I, shame I can't find any decent reviews on them. Still looking for more videos. Edited August 9, 2012 by sui785
Guest LucasRobert Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) I've found an even better phone, this one has a 1280 x 720 screen Resolution (720p, right?), and a 3.2MP front camera, otherwise, same specs as the AMOI N820 (albeit a 50mAh difference in battery): http://www.androidfo...hone-p-437.html Edited August 9, 2012 by LucasRobert
