Guest Nesli Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Great news :) thanks tilal for his work and jikobutsu for his "all time" hardcore testing :)
Guest tilal6991 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Just restored Gr1  Ok flashing again, and I try that...... All I am getting is system cannot find the specified path ? Maybe I do something wrong, not so good with commands....anyone else ? Give me a few minutes. I have a feeling that something deep down is wrong.
Guest Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Ok I keep the rom on.If you could give me adb commands as if you where teaching a child,I may be able to help here
Guest tilal6991 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Ok I keep the rom on.If you could give me adb commands as if you where teaching a child,I may be able to help here  I think the flashing process itself has gone wrong somewhere. The updater script is incorrect I think. I'm comparing it to GR1 to see what happens.
Guest toge64 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 jiko's phone must love him/her hahahahaha never using the phone right, always wiping its memory LOL
Guest tilal6991 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 New build is up. I hacked it together so that it hopefully will flash correctly.
Guest Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Hacked together......I like the sound of that, downloading right away!
Guest Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 (edited) Same as before for me :( - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) - Edited June 4, 2012 by Guest
Guest tilal6991 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Could you try the before commands again?
Guest Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Yeah done that straight after, and, its same result as before, system cannot find specified path ?
Guest G300 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 ?:??: W/?(?): - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) - Eclipse also same for cmd
Guest Davidoff59 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Anyone tried it with adb yet or are you doing it with CWM recovery? Reason I ask is this was given as an answer on another forum where someone had the same error when trying to adb a new recovery? Mount /dev/block/mtdblock1 as /system and you're good to go
Guest tilal6991 Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 Right I think I'm being a numpty and that's why its not working. I'll put up another build later.
Guest Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) I would rather that than you did not know why it not work :) I was just about to try the command above in davidoff post ....is it still worth a try? Edited June 5, 2012 by Guest
Guest tilal6991 Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 @jiko When in recovery with the system partition mounted could you try the following commands?: adb shell ls /system/ adb shell ls /system/bin adb shell ls /system/xbin
Guest Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) Ok I try later, out and about at moment. Anyone else want to try? Come on guys get ya hands dirty.lol All you have to do is backup your rom, flash cm9, and test away. I am just as noob as you guys there now thinking you don't now how to do this.(not referring to everyone of course) Just because I have over 2,000 posts does that mean I know more than the guy with 2? Of course it doesn't.All it means is sometimes I have way too much time on my hands, but I can't help it,I am hooked, android to me is like a giant intellectual puzzle and it stimulates my brain.lol I am useless at commands, but I doing my best, taking a crash course in adb. First time I ever done any commands was when I fastbooted recovery to my blade(the beginning of my android journey) We all want the ics/cm9 so the sooner more testers help tilal understand what's going on,the sooner he can give you ics/cm9 which he is most likely going to do before huawei. Guest tilal6991 Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 Right. Another test. Anyone want to try this?: Download http://goo.im/devs/tilal6991/u8815/boot.img In recovery, mount /sdcard. Put boot.img in adb folder adb push boot.img /sdcard/ adb shell flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img
