Guest timfimjim Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 There is no Play Store so I'm guessing I'm going to have to flash the Gapps for that? (I'm a bit rusty with CM) Yeah you need to flash g apps to get play store :)
Guest anything-but Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 (edited) How`d we get the market and a file explorer on this rom? Just flashing gapps through recovery gets it fc all the time and it`d be handy to be able to brows files on the phone too. :) ....just noticed above post. :D Flashing gapps don`t work, just keeps fc`ing. Guest djuroue Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 GREAT WORK. Fix Wifi and Camera and this will be my standard rom !!!
Guest dfvt Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 this rom seems awesome as soon as it gets stable i will try it
Guest Frankish Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 I think wifi and Bluetooth will be fairly easy to fix. Got a feeling we will be without camera for a while though... Rom runs great after testing, although at the moment I need wifi tethering. Great work to you guys!
Guest Davidoff59 Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Rom is great. Regarding camera, these items stand out for me. Guest Davidoff59 Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 I checked this and its correct. open a CMD window in the folder of your android SDK(where adb.exe is located) and type in: adb pull /system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf edit the file with wordpad, notepad will break some line breaks in the file, wierd i know. search for: ctrl_interface change its value to: eth0 Example it used to be: ctrl_interface=/data/system/wpa_supplicant And now it looks like: ctrl_interface=eth0

Guest FrankieADZ Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 would try it myself....but all the has flown way over my head, im learning all this slowly but thats a bit too advanced for me atm lol
Guest Gary_J_Wright Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Yes it is. edit this is what its set to update_config=1 ctrl_interface=eth0 eapol_version=1 ap_scan=2 fast_reauth=1 err now im getting confused, or word blind as it seems the same!!
Guest Davidoff59 Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Sorry Gary, see above, I say I checked that and its correct, as in the setting is set correctly. The message below that was a copy and paste off a page that I was getting my help from. This is what I did after checking that file was correct. in the CMD window do: adb push wpa_supplicant.conf /system/etc/wifi/ adb shell chmod 777 /system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf Now we need to restart the wpa_supplicant daemon, we do that this way: in your CMD window still in adb shell type top and press enter. watch close for a line to fly by like this one: 1399 0% S 1 1904K 996K fg root /system/bin/wpa_supplicant when you catch it hit CTRL + C and make note of the number at the beginning of that line on your device. now in your CMD window do: adb shell kill (number of the line you found) This bit isnt appearing so I cant kill it so it appears that it isnt running watch close for a line to fly by like this one: 1399 0% S 1 1904K 996K fg root /system/bin/wpa_supplicant
