you can update. just wipe dalvik cache.

Yes it's the final stable CM7.2. (not a RC if you prefer)

definitely better than the last update :)

I've just installed latest 7.2 release.

light sensor doesn't work at all for me on default settings, liquid 256mb.

tried opening custom light levels menu in cmsettings and I can clearly see that the value doesn't change when I move the device toward some light source.

solved: tapped first checkbox in the config (something about lightlevel filter) and after that the sensor began to report values in custom levels menu.

ps still the changes of the light aren't smooth...

good solved, i've just saw that light sensor doesn't work (i don't use it :P ) and check the box activate it.

Seems a little works on the values could be welcome, not a urgent fix but 'll look at that when i could.

the rest ok for you ? :)

switched to CM7.2 from MIUI and i love the rotation animation :P

it's fast enough for daily use, still haven't tested the battery drain

LED fix isn't working for me, missed call LED blinks for everything ( EDIT : worked after a reboot :D )

A2SD makes the ROM slower but still usable and multitasking is good

i think i will stay on this ROM until my Liquid A1 retires, unless youpi666 and thepasto do some magic on CM9 and stop the freezes and reboots on the A1 :P

great work, thank you

Hi I'm trying to use the Partition SD option but my screen is cracked at the top. Can someone guide me to what it says on the top and what options I should choose?

I would greatly appreciate it!

backlight doesn't grow up (or down) smooth. Into old CM it work with a gradient, now is definite

Yes backlight need some adjustment (better don't use it ;) )

A2SD makes the ROM slower but still usable and multitasking is good

Don't no if it could help with A2SD (i don't use it anymore since the new partition layout) but since the RC1 version, have some weird sdcard read/write/speed behavior.

I always use the default sdcard readahead = 4096 default RC1 and RC3 param.

With the last build i play a little with this and when i put the param to 2048, this change strongly the SD read/write/speed behavior !

Try to play with this param and see if it's better or not. The result could be different of mine, this is liquid/sd hardware dependent ;)

Hope this help.

Hi, i use Miui final v2 for a long time and all works very well with swap and a2sd. Final Cm7.2 is more better than Miui? I will change recovery only when i'm sure to not go back to malez recovery, because the last time i bricked my liquid

Hey,

Flashed this last night.

Some quick findings:

- Seems much more stable and responsive than RC3 (I don't use swap)

- Much smoother multitasking.

Battery drain is around 0.5 / hour - brightness 0, data network off, wifi off.

Using Facebook, WhatApp and other programs that use a lot of ram for running their background process, but the navigation is still smooth.

I recommend to settle down for a CM theme and an ADW theme, and then remove all the unnecessary themes from /system/app/ . Try to control what the application are doing in the background, what processes and push notification do you use, etc.

Great work overall, and I thank you once again TP and youp.

Awesome. Will flash this soon.

Is it too much to ask for sources to learn how to do this myself?

Not a fan of ADW Launcher either. I use Legacy Launcher on the Liquid and it's 'okay'...

Thanks. The lack of stability on RC3 was completely my fault, bad building manipulation

For the source, it's on thepasto github, i'll ask him the good link i'm little lost with all the github part.

If you want a good, fast, ram friendly launcher use that :

Works great ! :)

haha thanks, add it to the first post ;)

Anyone have the same problem?

If you talk about the auto brighteness, we all have the same problem but nobody use it :D ;)

(be sure i will work on it, but for now i think i'll begin some kernel game first)

Ok, but an example: display on, after one minute the brightness decreases with no gradient. Older rom have this gradient when backlight change and it is nice. Do you know?

Guest youpi666

ok i'm lost :D

You talking about the screen turn off behavior ?

Guest kaerry

mmm no... try to find a video of the problem!

ps: in older thepasto's rom backlight change is soft

Yes a video could help :)

I will ask thepasto about this.

Hi all, just flashed this ROM and it runs amazing! I only don't get link2sd working. I formatted my SD card from within the recovery (made a 1GB ext partition). Then booted up the phone, started link2sd, selected ext2, rebooted the phone, run link2sd again and then it asks which kind of extra partition i have, so it can't mount the ext on bootup. Anyone else with this problem and what can I do about it?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Nevermind! The new recovery makes an EXT3 partition, I selected EXT2 in Link2SD.
