root gives you you access to secured parts of the phone that the carrier i.e orange do no want you to have.

it also allows you to install apps to your SD card. And flash custom ROMs when they are available.

x900 is the indian version of the orange san diego phone

Roms & custom Roms are flashable software/operating systems that you flash to the phone that may be modified or newer releases of the operating system.

the only thing stopping us at the moment is IFWI_WW16_LE_PVT_ICS.bin Iv moved all the ics rom to the flasher but I'm worryed that ill brick my phone if I select the update
