Guest Loops Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 (edited) Hi I have installed a couple of custom ROMs and have been unable to send text messages. I presume this is something to do with overwriting the SMS service centre number but don't know how to correct this. The t-mobile site has a video that shows how to correct it with the stock ROM but the option does not appear to be available in Cyanogen 9 (currently installed) or Fish and Chips (previously installed). I am happy to go into the system and amend the appropriate file but don't know where to look. Any ideas? Edited June 14, 2012 by Loops
Guest Mtman1 Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Bit of a silly question, but do you have enough credit left to text?
Guest CurtisAndroidSF2 Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Might just be a network error, I've had no issues with texting/calling or anything on my phone and I've flashed most ROM's on this forum numerous times. Just give it a day or two unless someone here knows a fix. Curtis
Guest Mtman1 Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Thinking about a network problem, do calls work?
Guest fr0do Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 (edited) Are the APNs there for T-Mobile? This app can add them for you: http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=7&ved=0CHUQFjAG&url=https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tweakker&hl=en&ei=Hb7bT9z-DYr80QXAvYDlCg&usg=AFQjCNHEi75pu7N4uHcsBAUGOcEDhjyAnw Edited June 15, 2012 by fr0do
Guest BLu3HaZe Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 The SMS service center number is saved in the SIM if I'm not mistaken, and yes I too couldn't find a place to change it in CM7 now that I checked. You can just put the SIM into another phone, a dumb one will be simple, and save it.
