Unlocking

Hello,

I'm happy as an Orange customer but they're raising the prices of their unlimited texts and internet extras to £7.50 each and I can't really afford to top up £15 as I'm a student with no income, so my only option is to either buy unlimited texts and some how make do with 100mb of internet or switch to another network.

My device is already flashed with custom recovery and CM9 so how would I go about getting my phone back to stock recovery so I can unlock it?

Also, the whole task seems pretty daunting to me and I'm terrified of losing my MAC address, I'm not an idiot, I always do back ups just out of common sense but the process of losing it then recovering it back just seems a nightmare.

So, on a scale of 1-10 (1 being easy, 10 being difficult), how hard would it be for me to unlock my phone?
