Guest C3C0 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) Look into settings for apps (Paranoid settings / list of apps), you will find Settings there where you can see if it has explicitly set different values than global settings are. Also when changing layout of status/bar and other global system settings, reboot is required. That's the reason why your reboot menu is big - this happens mainly when statius bar style is changed. After reboot it's ok. Or you can totally disable hybrid mode by opening /system/pad.prop and setting hybrid_mode parameter to 0 and reboot (editor with root mode is required). This way you will get normal CM9 phone layout - system will ignore all of the paranoid android settings. Edited September 26, 2012 by C3C0
Guest manny0123 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Hi c3co thank you for this great rom, but I have a problem with the proximity sensor. when I make a call my screen stays off after the calls finished , so I have to use the power key to end call, no big deal really. But was wondering if there is a fix for this. I have a taos proximity sensor if this is any help to you. thanx in advance
Guest C3C0 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 I have taos, too. Works OK after calibration (Settings / Advanced / Calibrate prox sensor)
Guest manny0123 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 @c3co I've already tried that but it didn't work
Guest muhahahaah Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 is it just me or does browser syncing not work?
Guest utternoob Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 I think t doesn't work for me either :(
Guest C3C0 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 I don't think it's a rom issue. The functionality is exactly the same as one in normal CM9. Might be something temporary.
Guest jtharmor Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Any suggestion for improved battery on this ?
Guest bardriel Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Any suggestion for improved battery on this ? Select the InteractiveX gobernor. I am using this one and I have better battery consumption.
Guest JetKun Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 BTW if I set app to 240dpi this is same as regular cm9 right
Guest C3C0 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Yes. Btw I already coded option to turn hybrid mode on/off so it is possible to have generic cm9 without pa framework in just one click + hot reboot https://github.com/ParanoidZTE/android_packages_apps_Settings/commit/3f5544623e9c47be13f728f67ef94d8681cbad57
Guest JetKun Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 OK, last question: Does S2E work perfectly or does it need some kind of hack of some kind or something? By the way Ceco, thanks for the help and the answers so far- nicest dev ever lol xD
Guest shaez Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Yes. Btw I already coded option to turn hybrid mode on/off so it is possible to have generic cm9 without pa framework in just one click + hot reboot https://github.com/P...ef94d8681cbad57 Simply amazing! :))
Guest C3C0 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 @JetKun S2e shoul work straight out of box. I prefer link2sd though since it gives me freedom to choose what to Keep in internal memory and what to link 2 sdext.
Guest C3C0 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 Hot update now available in the second post.
Guest C3C0 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 @c3co I've already tried that but it didn't work What about /data/misc/prox_data.txt Does this file exist? What values does it contain?
Guest manny0123 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 @c3co /data/misc/ prox_data.txt says 1305.1044.246.255.255.0.0.4.32
Guest C3C0 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 Hmm... First two numbers too high compared to mine. How did you do calibration? You should keep your sensor uncovered when calibrating. You could also try to edit prox_data.txt and change first 2 numbers to: 784,627
Guest manny0123 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 @c3co settings/ advanced / calibrate proximity censor and sensor was uncovered. Tried changing the numbers to 784.627 but still doesn't work
Guest C3C0 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 I suggest you to try prox fixes that are provided in my cm7.2 thread Does your sensor work on stock rom? Asking just to exclude possibility of hw failure.
Guest manny0123 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 @c3co yeh worked on stock and also on titals coldfusion x and coldfusion x2. But when I was on h3blues I had to change the value of prox.threshold.txt to H601L1G32 to get the proximity sensor to work.
Guest manny0123 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 @c3co Got it working, I flashed your proxi-update. zip and now it works thanx c3co
