Guest FragMeister Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 I am also getting this problem, which in itself is bad enough. what is a big problem for me is that the error will not clear. I can go into my inbox (it shows inbox in the top line) but the error screen is still showing. The only way that I can clear the error is by turning off the handset. Maybe it is because the phone lock was on.
Guest Michael Eyres Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 Me to since update.. Error unable to place call. little G flashes on and of then the errormesaage. I also had a change to my account for SIm change then not worked since . Orange now say call 156 again and arrange a swapout phone... This would be my third phone !
Guest spikex Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 I've had problems with the GPRS after installing the UK update but a hard reset put things right again. Also got it unlocked using that SIM Unlock utility. I'm now running my Orange SPV on Vodafone network! LoL.
Guest Michael Eyres Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Don't know why but it works now since last night... without further changes. Not just a network thing as my son's phone in the same house worked fine all the time ! Just reinstalling all sound/pics and so on since the many reboots ! Sorry I can't tell you how it fixed itself guys.. just happy it has... May be Orange reset me overnight ?
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Help, the "GPRS Problems in DK?" thread's been hijacked by Brit SPV-activists. Time for a new hook. GPRS in Copenhagen's working fine now - rest of Denmark ok, anyone?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 For all those having "error unable to place call" problems, if they haven't already it might be an idea to try and force OCS to send you the GPRS sim update ~again~. Only time i've ever had that problem is when using my Cellnet SIM which isn't GPRS enabled and the e-mail auto check has gone off...
