Guest rubenGN Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 @Paul Keyboard is working again. Thanks. @bitbit Yeah, if chosen one of the UI options and as far as I know, you'll have to choose one. Google Maps doesn't find my location, too. Using stock kernel here.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 There does seem to be an issue with Network Location in Google Maps. Could someone try removing Maps.apk from /system/app and installing from the Market? Turn off GPS in Location Settings to test. TIA... P
Guest PaulOBrien Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 I've updated the Maps APK in the kitchen just in case this is the issue. P

Clearing the data of NetworkLocation.apk fixed it. Now it's working! Edited July 11, 2012 by bitbit
Guest vagelis Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 For the JRO03C build, I have a question: All of a sudden, when the nexus is plugged in to charge, the screen dims after the set interval (2 mins) but the phone never shuts off. It seems to shutoff after 2 mins when unplugged, but it stays on when on the charger. anyone else experiencing this, or would anyone know what would be causing it? I have not changed anything else afaik. Thank you in advance.
Guest Brembo109 Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 After reinstalling Maps from the market, all working fine. Thanks for the update

Guest themetatron Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 @vagelis in settings > developer options is stay awake checked?
Guest vagelis Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 @vagelis in settings > developer options is stay awake checked? That's what it was! Thank you Thank you Thank you :D
Guest FatherD Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 Wiped dalvik from Jr1.. Absolutely sweet, no problems at all - thanks Paul.
Guest jmagee Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 Anyone using haxsync, I'd hold off updating. Just done it and constant crashes.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 Anyone using haxsync, I'd hold off updating. Just done it and constant crashes. That's the haxsync update, see market comments! P

Guest jmagee Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 That's the haxsync update, see market comments! P Yeah that's what I meant, sorry I maybe want clear enough. Lesson learnt, anyway you know I don't post about my bugs in here. I just pester you straight off as I'm jinxed. Sorry for confusion.
Guest jmagee Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Haxsync updated and fixed. All working fine. No problems with the ROM :-) had to delete and reinstall maps to get it working.
Guest StuMcBill Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Out of curiosity, will the Secure Boot Image let apps that detect root (like Sky Go) work on the Gnex? Also, I guess I will be able to flash another kernel over the top if I want at a later date, as per normal? Cheers Paul!
Guest wollyka Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Haxsync updated and fixed. All working fine. No problems with the ROM :-) had to delete and reinstall maps to get it working. IF you reboot the phone, do you have to re-add the Hacsunx account and sync every time? Annoying..
Guest FatherD Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Franko Kernel jb-217 is playing nicely with this jr2 One happy Nexus
Guest gadgetgaz Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Are they frozen? Check TB. In Germany they're freezing again every time I'm rebooting. Seems to be a Google 'feature'. Re-freezing on reboot here in the UK too.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Prebake up shortly, network location issue is resolved so we're ready to go! P
Guest PaulOBrien Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Re-freezing on reboot here in the UK too. This is insanely annoying. I had a quick scout around but haven't found where it's pulling the 'freeze these' package list from as yet, but as soon as I find it, i'm ripping it the hell out of there! ;) P
Guest dimmanramone Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Wiped cache/dalvik and everything is working great with stock kernel :) No problems with maps or percentage battery mod. The only odd thing was that when I started using the phone in the morning was saying that my screen on time was 1:30 hours over night even If I was not using the phone, but now it seems to be back to normal. Now I have to flash franco kernel to see how's working with 4.1.1 How about that flashable stock kernel? Thx Paul for a great ROM.
Guest jmagee Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 IF you reboot the phone, do you have to re-add the Hacsunx account and sync every time? Annoying.. Now you mention it yeah. It did disappear after a reboot.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Jr2 prebake online! :) Next task - find where the pesky package disabling is happening... P
