Any idea about a fix on the Bluetooth Paul or is it a case of waiting for Google?

I have two issues with the new ROM baked yesterday:

  1. 5 GHz WLAN. I've had problems with this with 4.1.2 already, MCR only, haven't tried another ROM. Basically the phone just hasn't been able to connect to my 5 GHz WLAN at all, the network is on the list but phone couldn't connect to it. Now with 4.2 the phone connects again but just for a minute at a time or so, then disconnects. 2.4 GHz WLANs work just fine. I have only the one 5 GHz WLAN AP to test with since 5 GHz WLANs are pretty rare but at least my WLAN bridge and laptop still connect to it so probably my AP isn't the problem.

  2. Agenda Widget Plus on the lock screen. It seems to work once, then shows nothing. No idea again if this is an MCR issue or Agenda issue. Google's calendar widget works fine on the lock screen but it's but it's rather feature poor.

I've been testing WLAN and the 5GHz band is working on my setup with no issues. I did have to toggle wi-fi off and on after setting to 5GHz though...

The "Fixed Clock" widget was not working on the lock screen at all for me, but this morning the author put out a new rev. which seems to have fixed the issue. It was working on JR8 for me earlier, stopped working, and now has started working again. I think lock screen widgets and modding will take a while to get straightened out.

I'll test BT car connection a little later today.

anssi_s, I don't think either of this issues could be MCR related i'm afraid. :(

I really agree, I was just hoping someone else here might be doing these things... The Agenda Widget thing is probably a bug in Agenda. I realized it provides two lock screen widgets and the other one works! Not sure about having my calendar on the lock screen but until something cooler comes along...

I'll have to look into the WLAN thing a little more, I have a new dual band WLAN AP I should try anyways.

There seem to be a lot of BT stack changes in 4.2, I imagine they'll push fixes in 4.2.1...

Hope they come soon. Missed the Bluetooth controls today with our chaotic weather

CDMA version coming down the line anytime soon? Love the rom and want to start using it again, on CM now for Jelly Bean and really not a fan.

I've just updated the 'with search button' UIs to resolve a button sizing issue.

Very odd... Just noticed that my haptic is back since my last flash after ages being totally dead..... Could it be ROM or kernel related?

Guest PaulOBrien

Haptic could definitely be affected by both of those things!

Generally speaking I only need recovery or regular and that one adds an additional click. ;)

True, I just find it makes the first PM a bit more 'stock' looking. Nice to see the N4 one out, getting one in th NY so good to see an MCR! Not doing a review on the N4 yet?

Hi guys, anyone having Bluetooth problems? My won't dial from my car any more. This is now without T9 dialer.

Over here it works with my audi carkit (though I had to clear & reestablish my previous BT paired device).

Lync 2010 no longer logs in to the server at work. Everyone with 4.2 has the same problem. App needs an MS update I think.

Thanks for this fantastic rom Paul, I just made the switch and I'm loving it. Blazing fast, bugfree and the mods are great

I'd like to share some small mods I've made for this rom

First is a gradient and little icon bug fix. It replaces the grey and phone background with high quality images, and fix the icon used in the status bar when the gps is locked.

Jr8-Gradient+IconFix.zip http://www32.zippyshare.com/v/88229849/file.html

Second is a Quick Settings mod, when you click the toggle it actualy toggles it, and when you long press it takes you to it's setting page. There is now a GPS toggle and there is a provided toggle control app to chose which one are displayed. Plus it includes a circle battery mod

The base of the mod is made by kevdliu on XDA, polish of the code, images and control app is by mmuzy on XDA and myself

Very nice!

If you don't mind I'd love to include it in the ROM base for this and my other ROMs...

I'd gladly say yes but I am not the maker of these mods! I just did a bit of polish and merged it to your files

This is indeed a nice peace of work. Thx Paul!

For myself, I can confirm that the new wifi drivers in the kernel are definitely an improvement over the older ones.

I've got a lot of walls in my home from where my provider's (Belgacom) wifi AP is setup and I now have an extra 5 yards to go before the wifi signal dies.

I can now go and sit in my porch to access the internet over wifi, something that was impossible before. But my wife doesn't like it

Best of all, battery life doesn't suffer from it and keeps pace with the previous mcr 4.1.2 rom.

TY for sharing the mod, works perfect.

But is there a way to modify what you will see on that screen?

I have other things then shown on this screen shot.

There's a quick settings app that will have been installed in your app drawer to set what appears in the menu!

I've installed the quick settings mod but not seeing anything. I've selected all and clicked apply. An I'm missing something?

Be great to have these in the ROM
