Guest Hans Gruber Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Also this rom is for the Chinese market so you'll be stuck with a load of bloat for Unicom that you can't get rid of, in a language you can't understand :D

Guest Hans Gruber Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Ah I must have been doing something wrong :P
Guest FrankieADZ Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 You can't install update.apps via CWM. It is not CWM's format but instead Huawei's. This irreversibly flashes your radio and bootloader. Oh ok, u was on about a working CMR rom, would that basically be ICS? *Sorry for the silly questions, wondering as all*

Guest Dazzozo Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Ah I must have been doing something wrong :P If you examine the errors you were having you were probably missing the crc binary.
Guest qiwu huang Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 If you examine the errors you were having you were probably missing the crc binary. yeah , he is missing crc binary. I update kernel ,and try to fix camera ,but now i must go to sleep ..it is 23:50
Guest anything-but Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Now we have this, will CM9 help get a working cwm rom, or will this help make CM9 more G300 compatible ? Or I guess CM9 drops by the wayside as future roms are based around huawei's ics?
Guest Dazzozo Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Now we have this, will CM9 help get a working cwm rom, or will this help make CM9 more G300 compatible ? Or I guess CM9 drops by the wayside as future roms are based around huawei's ics? The latter won't happen. I expect we will see a portion of users on Huawei ICS ROMs that are debranded, and some who are on custom ROMs based on the new findings in the official ICS release, such as CM9.
Guest FrankieADZ Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 the only problem will be when people(who dont know the ICS bootloader lock stuff) come on here and wonder why they cant try other roms. wonder if Paul will work on unlocking the bootloader when ICS comes out.
Guest Davidoff59 Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 3.08 kernel, nice one. More features then hopefully. Thank you Qiwu.

Guest tilal6991 Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 @Daz - after the flash, try pushing GB RIL libs with adb to /system/lib That should *fingers crossed* fix the RIL
Guest Dazzozo Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Right, everything flashed properly and I can dive in to the image, it's all good. However the device won't boot on it, the boot partition is fine and it mounts that goddamn Mobile Partner disk that I killed in my kernel fork last night, and adb reports the device as offline so I can't really do a lot there.
Guest Dazzozo Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Got adb up, looking through the errors now.
Guest timfimjim Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Good luck guys. Tilal any news on whether you'll get the device yourself? :)
Guest tilal6991 Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 No idea but I'm happy with my state right now - helping Daz behind the scenes.

Guest Dazzozo Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Huawei's kernel in this release is missing fb0, using the CM9 kernel gets us to a boot anima-ooh that's a homescreen.
