Also if you make a new MCR will I even need to have flashed b926 in the first place?

i would say yes, so your baseband gets updated

its tempting to try this ICS now, but I think I might wait until its officially released here. which i think i read its sometime this month. :)

Vendor files are optional and only needed for that specific operator. I personally wouldn't use them.

So you would still have to flash b926, unlock boot loader, root and then flash pauls rom? Will Paula rom not update the radio also?

I actually followed the Huawei instructions. from what I've heard I need to be on B892 to upgrade to ICS but trying to downgrade to B892 from says update failed. I've tried different SD Cards.

The flasher gave me a log about the downgrade and the ICS flash I'm certain that the same error for both. Even updating from B895 to ICS doesn't work.

filename = /mmc1/dload/update.app

new partition same as old.

call RCV_MODULE_END_EVENT failed,module = OEMSBL_VER_LIST

QCSBLHD_CFGDATA fail.

call dload_machine data process failed,module = QCSBLHD_CFGDATA

yes, baseband is not included in a rom.zip

unless its extracted from the official update, then it could be manually flashed with something similar to nvflash, the way its done on the lg o2x...

its best just to do the official update really...

Rafael there should be a log in that dload folder now which will show why it failed.

Updating to B888 stops you going back to B882 and updating to B895 stops you going back to any update before it.

As it appears, B895 stops updating above it too, bit of a borked update really.

So I have to wait for official European ICS? Or is it possible to upgrade to B926 from B895 :/

yes, if you update your baseband (flash official ics update) you should use the ril from the ics update on cm9.

ril is found in the lib folder of a rom.zip

EDIT: on my lg its called "lge-ril.so" not sure about huawei
